Syrian government forces, led by the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) Tiger Forces, have achieved a major victory in the battle against ISIS in eastern Aleppo.
The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and its allies have renewed push against the US-backed Free Syrian Army (FSA) in the southeastern Syrian desert.

The US Special Forces, aiding al Qaeda and ISIS groups masquerading as “Free Syrian Army,” a hideous joke no sane person takes seriously, is now going head to head with the Syrian Arab Army, the military force of the legal government of Syria.
While the war in Syria is far from over, the events of October 2016 through May 2017 will likely be described as its turning point that enabled the Syrian-Iranian-Russian alliance to assume strategic offensive and dictate the tempo of operations.
On Thursday, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and its allies announced start of the Operation “Grand Dawn” in eastern Syria.
Government forces are advancing against ISIS and Western-backed militant groups on multiple frontlines across Syria.
US-backed militant groups, often referred to as the Free Syrian Army (FSA), have declared the start of a counter-offensive against “the regime and its foreign militias” in the area east of Suweida in southeastern Syria.
The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) Tiger Forces and their allied units are rapidly clearing the countryside Maskanah, a strategic town in the province of Aleppo, from ISIS terrorists.
The city of Raqqah is considered one of the most important Syrian cities. The city is located on the northeast bank of the Euphrates River, at the edge of “Sharqiya Syria”, a term used to describe eastern Syria. Syria’s largest dam, the Tabqah Dam is located 40 kilometers west of Raqqah.
On Sunday, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and its allies recaptured the Dahra Umm Salasil area near the Syrian-Jordanian border. By this, the SAA had liberated 50 km of the border with Jordan.
