I’m sure that some pompous pinhead will justify this kerfluffle and resulting bruhaha, but like so many academic storms, it’s so meaningless as to be either funny or tragic or both. I can’t begin to think of one that I would accept, but I’m sure they’ll try. They’ll fail, but that’s what they’re good at, and they won’t care.
