Politicians have proven themselves to be among the least brightest individuals one would find among the population of America. Not wanting to classify all those who seek public office as being nothing more than a sack of rocks, let us just point out the truth here that the private sector hires the best while the […]
Jim W. Dean – We were able to get out in front of the Turkish “incursion” story by posing that it was the beginning of Turkey’s longed for “buffer and no fly zone” in Syria, literally a safe haven for the proxy forces it is supporting in Syria.
Jim W. Dean – These are hopeful words from Mr. Steinmeier, as he is speaking for the German government, but not for NATO. Military brass often does not like balance, always preferring superiority.
Jim W. Dean -I am still waiting to see why no one is interested in finding out who helped themselves to the Shah’s looted billions kept in foreign banks.
In a real democratic entity, the people themselves make all major political, legal, and judicial decisions. The absence of real democracy provides one explanation for the growing strength of the Invisible Government—and for that Government’s successful campaigns against freedom, peace, living standards, spirituality, and the biosphere.
Jim W. Dean – This is all going to be much ado about nothing. Someone is really scraping the bottom going after these past staff associations and business deals to get something against the candidate… a little mud splattered maybe?
Jim W. Dean – This story is a tempest in a teapot for two reasons. Russia can do just fine with the US locking itself out of the Russian market. Plus, presidents have a wide hand when it comes to foreign policy.
Jim W. Dean – The big question now is will Erdogan keep supplies flowing from Turkey, with Iran and Russia not saying a word in protest, which so far they have not.
Jim W. Dean – These CENTCOM investigations were carefully crafted to “not” go into certain areas where the real scandals were, like how our own training programs for moderate rebels ended up feeding men and weapons into the jihadi militants’ ranks.
Jim W. Dean – Ukraine president Poroshenko seems to be challenging me on my one of my favorite quips, “You just can’t make this stuff up”, by putting on worldwide display that he certainly can, with his new Russian threat hoax.
Jim W. Dean – My, my, Mr. Kissinger just experienced one of the negatives of living too long…that declassification of some of your past nasty acts catches up with you.
Iran FM Zarif – “They [US officials] are making a mistake because what they have lost so far as a result of the escalation of the Iranian nation’s distrust due to the US lack of commitment…”
America’s real rulers have access to immense fortunes, operate behind the scenes, and enjoy near-absolute power.
Germany’s Steinmeier – “We are talking with each other like emissaries from two different planets. There is essentially no basis for understanding … no basis for discussions,” the top German diplomat said.
Jim W. Dean – I am always surprised to have these professor types running interference for the jihadis, claiming they are all peace loving citizens wanting to overthrow a dictator.
Of course, I will not be choosing the lesser of two evils and will instead be voting for the good Dr. Jill Stein ~ the Green Party’s presumptive nominee for President and look forward to her presence in the Presidential debates. God help us all in November.
The US has been crashing into one Regime-Change Disaster after another, but claims the failures to be victories.
Though sadly ignored in this nation, there are third party alternatives in the impending battle of the unlikeable and the untrustworthy. If a candidate more accurately addresses my concerns and reflects my point of view why would I vote the lesser evil when I can vote the greater good?
The recent tragic murder of British Member of Parliament Jo Cox advances that Government’s agenda. Hence, that Government is the prime suspect in Jo Cox’s murder.
Jim W. Dean – The US setting a precedent of holding any terror event on trial in a national court, and then seizing sovereign funds in a judgment case is going to have quite a ripple effect, as it gives the right, theoretically, for other countries to do the same.
Jim W. Dean – The sad irony in all this is that only one CIA person has been punished, and that was John Kiriakou, sentenced and imprisoned until his early release last year for going public about the program in 2007.
This is fear based political overkill by a Democratic political establishment that is married to corporate power as well as the status quo and obviously afraid of the people’s will and vote ~ note super delegate power play.
Jim W. Dean – What a breath of fresh air to see European politicians forming their own new groups to speak out on some of the childish actions of its major political organization with its self-inflicted, Russian-sanction boomerang wounds.
Jim W. Dean – The replacement for the Iranian nuclear weapons hoax is rolling out as I had predicted. Russia won that prize, with NATO moving up to its borders with forces on hand, knowing that Russia would have to counter, and that being claimed as “aggression”.
Jim W. Dean – The thin veil has now been dropped by the Saudis. The Royals are demanding a UN understanding that they can purchase immunity from any UN determinations on their actions.
Mr. Trump, who has called for monitoring mosques and even barring Muslims from entering the United States, has been the clear beneficiary of this moment of deep anxiety and oppression among the vast majority of electorate. More than four in 10 Republican primary voters say the most important quality in a candidate is strong leadership, which eclipses honesty, empathy, experience or electability.
Jim W. Dean – Old men will often speak the truth as they near the end of their lives, and get more sick of the lies they see all around them, including those they participated in during their working careers.
Ann Diener brings us some timely dot connecting as the political middle begins to erode toward the Left and Right. This is a bookend to Uri Avnery’s piece we published this morning.
Jim W. Dean – Putin’s approval ratings continue to be the gold standard for world leadership, and a key factor in the sniping that comes at him from the West, land of the leadership wasteland, despite the longer history of democratic institutions.
Jim W. Dean – There is no big surprise here. Turkey is making Syria pay for what the Russian sanctions have done to hurt the Turkish economy. Selling bombing supplies to terrorists is just another day at the office for the Erdogan crowd.
