Jim W. Dean – The Trump song and dance show is on the road, and as expected he is grabbing the headlines with bold initiatives. This is nothing new, as Obama did the same thing, especially after his Nobel Peace Prize.
Jim W. Dean – China has done nothing by grab a few cheap headlines in Syria, over some medical supplies “to fight terrorism”, and similarly with Iraq. It is saving its resources for the home front.
After years of dealing with failing health, Fidel Castro, leader of the Cuban revolution who steered the country through decades of a US economic blockade, has died, state media report.
In our present Plutocracy, we made the transition last year from complacency to national apathy ~ but with the passage and implementation of Obamacare, along with an increasingly militarized surveillance state, we have now entered stage eight, Dependence on the state ~ which will soon be followed with militarized Bondage by the state and eventually spiritual death.
Now that we have a US President-Elect and new Congress controlled from same party there is simply NO EXCUSE left to NOT get Immigration Reform done. And they know it!
The intent appears to be to treat innocent demonstrating participants as wild and lawless criminals which includes strip searches, food and clothing deprivation and humiliation all of which has happened at Standing Rock.
The duly democratically elected president of Syria, Bashar al-Assad, asked Russian president Vladimir Putin to come to his country’s aid and defense against the various terrorist factions arrayed against the people and government of Syria.
Jim W. Dean – No one is holding their breath about a major breakthrough at this meeting, but that does not mean it is a waste of time. There will be no “covert’ attack on Syria by the Americans during such talks.
Gordon and I go back a few years with Dr. Salami when he was Press TV’s editor during the gloomy times of the sanctions when it was being pulled off Western satellites to block its ability to counter anti-Iran propaganda.
Jim W. Dean – I know what you are thinking, “Don’t bore us with another Chicago corruption story.” But this one is different because the whistle blowers have survived, which is a breath of fresh air.
There is only one candidate who sounds and acts presidential and is representing the American people and not special interests ~ that candidate is Jill Stein and she’ll get my vote on November 2nd because I deserve a true choice and will not settle for the lesser of two evils.
Jim W. Dean – Finally we have the release of the full ceasefire agreement, which generally tells us what we already knew, that the US fumbled the deal because its jihadis felt the Gulf States and Turks would keep supplying them to fight Assad.
Anyone who believes that Donald Trump or Hilary Clinton will make a material difference to the future of the nation is a stupid fool. It is the Congress that has the real power to reshape the nation and its future. The Speaker of the House, while not enjoying the privileges of Air Force One and the trappings of the Presidency, is the most powerful man in Washington.
I understand at a profound level the love a native American feels for the land and their role as a protector of this sacred life sustaining bond.
We live in particularly unstable and dangerous times. The US behemoth is forced to adjust to an increasingly multipolar world, as Eurasia and alliances such as BRICS coalesce. The coup in Brazil, tripling US expenditures for suppression in Latin America, Israel’s frantic genocidal pace, the NATO build up to intimidate Russia, Syria’s miracle resistance against […]
Jim W. Dean – I like these frequent heads of state meetings due to the “side meetings” opportunities to work out out problems with all the numerous conflicts that are going on that often require banging some respective staff heads together on to solve festering diplomatic wounds.
Which brings us to our business which is essentially War, Drone assassinations, Regime change and Weapon sales as part of an out-of-control Military/Industrial/Congressional complex all operating under the cloak of American exceptionalism.
Jim W. Dean – Little Yemen with it 22 million people living in a county that imports most of what it needs, and exports God only knows what, is somehow continuing to stand up to the Saudi coalition onslaught.
Politicians have proven themselves to be among the least brightest individuals one would find among the population of America. Not wanting to classify all those who seek public office as being nothing more than a sack of rocks, let us just point out the truth here that the private sector hires the best while the […]
Jim W. Dean – We were able to get out in front of the Turkish “incursion” story by posing that it was the beginning of Turkey’s longed for “buffer and no fly zone” in Syria, literally a safe haven for the proxy forces it is supporting in Syria.
Jim W. Dean – These are hopeful words from Mr. Steinmeier, as he is speaking for the German government, but not for NATO. Military brass often does not like balance, always preferring superiority.
Jim W. Dean -I am still waiting to see why no one is interested in finding out who helped themselves to the Shah’s looted billions kept in foreign banks.
In a real democratic entity, the people themselves make all major political, legal, and judicial decisions. The absence of real democracy provides one explanation for the growing strength of the Invisible Government—and for that Government’s successful campaigns against freedom, peace, living standards, spirituality, and the biosphere.
Jim W. Dean – This is all going to be much ado about nothing. Someone is really scraping the bottom going after these past staff associations and business deals to get something against the candidate… a little mud splattered maybe?
Jim W. Dean – This story is a tempest in a teapot for two reasons. Russia can do just fine with the US locking itself out of the Russian market. Plus, presidents have a wide hand when it comes to foreign policy.
Jim W. Dean – The big question now is will Erdogan keep supplies flowing from Turkey, with Iran and Russia not saying a word in protest, which so far they have not.
Jim W. Dean – These CENTCOM investigations were carefully crafted to “not” go into certain areas where the real scandals were, like how our own training programs for moderate rebels ended up feeding men and weapons into the jihadi militants’ ranks.
Jim W. Dean – Ukraine president Poroshenko seems to be challenging me on my one of my favorite quips, “You just can’t make this stuff up”, by putting on worldwide display that he certainly can, with his new Russian threat hoax.
Jim W. Dean – My, my, Mr. Kissinger just experienced one of the negatives of living too long…that declassification of some of your past nasty acts catches up with you.
Iran FM Zarif – “They [US officials] are making a mistake because what they have lost so far as a result of the escalation of the Iranian nation’s distrust due to the US lack of commitment…”
