Hundreds of thousands of servicemen were exposed to asbestos over decades, especially during the period from 1940 to 1980.  Asbestos was used in construction of naval vessels as well as shore facilities.  All branches of the military used asbestos, which was also widely used in civilian applications.  Asbestos can cause mesothelioma.  Because this cancer has a particularly long latency period, many servicemen who were exposed years ago are now developing this disease.

We fight for veterans harmed by asbestos: Veterans with mesothelioma or asbestos-related lung cancer should know they have options: the opportunity to bring a suit against manufacturers and sellers of the asbestos that caused their illness. If you were harmed by asbestos exposure, for example, in ships or military housing, contact Weitz & Luxenberg to get a free case review.

Important Information
for Veterans:

Asbestos products were often used on military ships and within military housing, and Veterans may have been exposed. Previous exposure to asbestos is the only known cause of mesothelioma, a fatal cancer that has no cure and affects countless Veterans and loved ones. Is Killing the solution? 1-20-08Written by Peter Macdonald 465 Packersfalls rd Lee NH 03824 603-659-6217Veteran’s learn how to Kill as children. The hard cruel experience gained by practice in the field makes the task of killing emotionless. We are no longer children returning home. Brain washed machines that followed orders through the echoes of war are created. Heartless sons of Bitches that are dropped into a society that no longer accepts these children as their own. We attempt to cast aside the survival tactics drilled deep into our brains and return to the life that only exists in unfocused memory. Some achieve the false image of normal existence only to be cautioned by returning visions. Some are cast aside as homeless, drug addicts or just alcoholics. Other Veteran’s that unknowing act on the unfocused memory with the echoes of war survival tactics are doomed in a cage called prison for the eternal future. We defend a society that can no longer accept or under stand that returning Veterans are beyond the medical capability of people that have never been there.I left the U.S. in 1970 as a Marine PFC with no memory at all because of a Traumatic Brain Injury from a car accident. An Admin error sent me to live a life where no person should ever go. I lived in conditions and learned how to do things that would make a rat puke. I learned that I was doing all this for a nation (U.S.) that I had no memory of. I became a Sgt in charge of other men that used these human beings as machines to complete missions in disregard of life it self. I killed with a bayonet a child deep in the bush to escape and retrieve my M-16. I came back to the Round eyed country (U.S.) believing that I was going to paradise. I got off the plane to be spit on and called a baby killer. I came to NH to have people that called themselves my friend use me. I was lost for over 5 years before one day I realized that I was no longer in country (Marine Corps). I left the U.S. a proud Marine and came home a lost rat.I started volunteering over 1000hours per year as a way to justify coming home alive when better than me gave every thing. I started college as a way to learn what others called normal. I started dating round eyed girls because that is what other Marines called experience. I volunteer across NH helping people every day, disabled children, depressed adults, homeless, people starting business that could not afford to pay help, the courts and government and to this day I continue to help others. The State of New Hampshire has labeled me a Terrorist under the Patriot act. I will not be violent so the State continues to destroy me in the public. The News has censored the truth because I am a Veteran that should never have come home. I relive the echoes of war every day and wonder why I came back to paradise?Peter Macdonald Sgt USMC Semper Fi
