Hundreds of thousands of servicemen were exposed to asbestos over decades, especially during the period from 1940 to 1980.  Asbestos was used in construction of naval vessels as well as shore facilities.  All branches of the military used asbestos, which was also widely used in civilian applications.  Asbestos can cause mesothelioma.  Because this cancer has a particularly long latency period, many servicemen who were exposed years ago are now developing this disease.

21csijobsveteransmilitarJobs in Decision Support Software are Offered to Talented Technical Veterans

21Century Systems Inc. Partners with HireVeterans.com

By Brian Kilne

21CSI delivers intelligent agent-based decision support systems.  Their intelligent agents process and analyze large amounts of data quickly, providing real-time, actionable knowledge to decision makers in high-stress environments. By providing human decision makers with a real-time, integrated picture, their decision support systems substantially improve situational awareness, reduce stress and increase productivity.

To meet the challenges, 21 CSI requires world class employees and so it always looks to hire the very best.  Are you ready?  Well, in this light, 21 CSI is reaching out to hire military veterans by partnering with HireVeterans.com, America's first and foremost Job Board for U.S. Veterans.

Built on a foundation of strong applied research and development efforts, 21CSI's software represents a quantum improvement in software technologies that have greatly expanded the use and responsiveness of computer systems. Through the use of "intelligent agents", computer-based decision support systems are able to adapt, respond and learn from individual users under a variety of operational situations.

In 2005 and 2006, Inc. magazine inducted 21CSI into the Inc. 500, the magazine's annual ranking of the fastest-growing privately held companies in the United States. In 2006, 21CSI received the Tibbetts Award which recognizes significant achievements involving technological innovation related to the federal Small Business Innovation Research Program.

Entering its eleventh year with a three-year growth rate of 514.4% and 150 employees, 21CSI has offices in nine states supporting government and private-sector clients.

21CSI was formed in April 1996 to answer the question whether intelligent software agents and humans working together could do better than either one group working alone. Ten years and 150 employees later, the answer was a resounding "Yes!"

They deliver decision support software to help operators manage complex, high-stress, rapidly changing environments through sound, computer-assisted data monitoring and decision making. We provide real-time actionable knowledge to the commander. Intelligent agents embedded in the systems enable the software to adapt, respond, and learn from individual users in a variety of situations.

21CSI produces highly advanced software to help Warfighters make better, faster decisions under stressful conditions. All of 21CSI’s government contracts are Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) awards that have been competed in accordance with Federal regulations.

  • 21csiapplyjobsveteransSBIR contract awards are based on scientific, technical, and commercial merit.
  • Competition for SBIR awards is stiff.
  • Only 15-20% of proposals win the initial (concept development) phase. Even fewer make it to the second (prototype development) phase.
  • All DoD contracts address identified military needs and have an identified military customer before any follow-on development funding is requested or awarded.
  • 21CSI consistently delivers more than is required on our government contracts, which is why the government continues to do business with 21 CSI. They are good at what they do.
  • At the request of the Department of the Navy, 21CSI developed High Resolution Situational Awareness (HiRSA), for use by the Marines. The technology was deployed in 2004 to Camp Fallujah, Iraq for two years. In 2006, the Marines asked 21CSI to conduct further development, and this year, the Marine Corps committed funds to conduct further development and testing.
  • The SentinelNet maritime force protection command and control software was selected by the Navy as the integrating software for a swimmer detection system currently being developed and tested.
  • 21CSI has sold its security system to a major defense contractor for use in the US Navy, border protection, and approved foreign military sales.
  • This fall, our intelligence analysis system, Webster-ACE, will begin testing and evaluation for use in information operations by U.S. Strategic Command.
  • 21CSI’s Joint Awareness Warfighter Space (JAWS) program was evaluated by the Army in April 2007 and outperformed the current system 2:1.
  • 21CSI has contracted with a leading US defense contractor to provide advanced software tools for automated undersea warfare simulation for integration into the 688 and Virginia class submarine combat system.

21CSI began life as a tiny research company. In 2003, 21CSI began efforts to transition government-sponsored research to the field. All of 21CSI’s government contracts are Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) awards that have been competed in accordance with Federal regulations.

21 CSI needs top qualify world class staff to keep up the energy that makes it a world leader so check out their Jobs and Apply  to them ASAP.
