President Gerald R. Ford Has Died
It's with a sad heart I post this announcement. Although I didn't know him personally, President Ford was was one of two presidents I did get a chance to meet, and he was the only one still alive until a short time ago.
I also remember very clearly those days after President Nixon resigned and I think President Ford was very brave in doing the unpopular and pardoning President Nixon. The country really, really needed to move on and the pardon allowed that to happen.
