Vet Search - Ray G Bakeman 36th MRU 7th army special troops
Hi Guys,
I am new to this site and am trying to locate any info on a
Raymond G Bakeman ASN 42112471
He served in th 36th MRU (Machine Records Unit) which was part of the 7th Army Special Troops
Born 04/10/1915 out of Broom County New York
He inlisted 30/03/1944 at Fort Dixie New York
He died 04/04/1981 and is buried in Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery
My research relates to a 1944 willys MB that I am restoring. This vehicle was purchased out of the army by Mr Bakeman on the 6th Jan 1948, at the time he was living at 20 An der Ringmauer Heddernheim Frankfurt Germany.
I live in Kamloops B.C. Canada and am trying to fill in a few of the 'blanks' regarding the vehicles history .......if I can.
If any one has any info on his family/post stationed/unit etc I would much appreciate your input or if you could generally just spread my message on any other forums that would be great.
