March Madness
So we have a rematch, Florida against UCLA. Do any of you remember what happened the last time there was a rematch?
And Georgetown taking on Ohio State. A Georgetown team that really pulled one out of the hat, yes?
What do you think?
Go for the poll.
.
BUT, I'm going to have to put the other poll in another thread.
I can't put two polls in one thread.
I might as well set one up for the overall championship, right?

We’ve got a few minutes before the tip off in Atlanta for the championship, so let me answer my question.
In 1990 UNLV beat Duke by 30 points in the championship game.
In the 1991 semi-finals Duke beat UNLV 79-77, and as Joe Gergen put it, “... on the strength of a precisely executed game plan ...”.
In fact, the Duke team studied over and over the tapes of the previous year.
Joe Gergen also wrote of that 1991 game, “The Blue Devils' 79-77 triumph over the previously unbeaten Runnin' Rebels, which many had proclaimed as invincible, will be remembered as one of the great upsets in NCAA Tournament history.”
Now an interesting point comes up before tip off, Duke was the last team to win back-to-back championships – they won again in 1992.
Too bad I can't watch this championship game coming up in a few minutes on the telebi. But the scoreboard on the Net will be just fine. How come more of you folks didn't vote in the poll?

Back-to-back!!!
Back-to-back for Florida State! Not an easy feat.
Even though I got the impression from watching the little scoreboard flashes that Florida was trying to give the game away by turning over the ball to Ohio State, it didn’t seem Ohio State wanted this one bad enough—missed chances galore.
So what about next year?
A three-peat?
