The Mona Lisa, Spec5 Joe Blow, and Benefits

Oh no, gmg has flipped his lid! What possible connection could those have?

Well, my lid might have been flipped a long time ago, but on this one I've got it right.

What is the connection between the Mona Lisa, Spec5 Joe Blow, and Benefits?

And you won't be able to Google this one. This is a Veterans Today original.

They are all things that are no longer able to be gotten.....

Do you mean the rank of Spec5 is no longer used?

I remember a lot of my crew chiefs were Spec4s and 5s. I seem to remember that there were even flight engineers that were Spec6s, no?

No, maybe I've got that last one wrong. It's been too many years.

Back to the question:

How about a hint?

Current events can provide you with an idea of what the answer is.

No, I don't think that the spec5 is used anymore.. When I was in, we didn't have them either.. You went from spec4 to either cpl pr sgt...

I probably was told something about that from some of our younger post members, but forgot. They like to harass us older fellas about the way things have changed. How the army has gotten all civilized and stuff.

I was shocked when I heard about that stress card business.

If I had ever tried to flash a stress card at our TAC officer he probably would've eaten it.

How about I flash a stress card in the middle of a full autorotation!

As a matter of fact, I think I heard they don't do full autorotations anymore.

Just how old are you anyway??????? Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

I have probably waited too long to put up the answer. I came up with this idea when I read about how scholars finally found out without a doubt who the lady was in the painting because of the discovery of some notes in a book.

So the point is everyone should keep all records in a safe place. Not in some book that may end up on your bookshelf where you may have forgotten it was put when you need that to prove something for benefits.

I have seen so many times veterans looking for witnesses to prove something because they may have lost some records. I know that it is not always the veteran's fault, but too many times it is.

The point is, SAVE EVERYTHING! And try to keep everything in a safe place where you can always find the stuff. Or where your loved ones can find it. Or would even know where to find it.
