Cold War Victory Medal LEGISLATIVE UPDATE: Cold War Medal does NOT win legislative approval
The House and Senate have completed reconciling their respective defense authorization bills for Fiscal Year 2008. A Cold War Medal provision was NOT included in the conference report of the National Defense Authorization Act for 2008 in the section of the law entitled:
Cold War Medal
I'm a veteran of the Cold War and do indeed think the time is Right for a Cold War Medal !! There were untold number,s of soldier,s and civilian,s that died during this time in history, for freedom. It,s a shame the Medal is being swept under the rug. Accomplishment,s during this time were staggering.
