Nikki Haley: Dear America, please call me an idiot and puppet

If you are not a complete moron, or a psychopath, or an Israeli or Saudi agent, then you should go after Saudi Arabia, not Iran. But since Haley has been duped that an essentially diabolical ideology, she thinks that virtually every country has to accept the idea that Iran is the world’s greatest danger.

U.S. Ambassador Nikki Haley looks like a superstar or Hollywood celebrity. But not the kind of celebrity that you would see in movies like American Hustle. She wants to be cool by wearing movie star boots and then lectures other countries about how bad and evil Iran really is.[1]

Haley doesn’t live in Hollywood Boulevard, where people impersonate Johnny Depp’s character in Pirates of the Caribbean.[2] Thankfully, she is not selling sex or booze. What she is selling is the Saudi and Israeli narrative, which always seeks to undermine the moral and political order in much of the West and the Middle East.

Haley, as we have pointed out in the past, doesn’t really represent the United States. No, she represents two powerful countries which refuse to submit their ideological projects to practical reason. That’s why she cannot construct a coherent foreign policy, and that’s why she has lauded Trump’s ridiculous and dangerous decision on Jerusalem as “courageous.”[3]

Saudi Arabia has been liquidating thousands upon thousands of civilians right in front of our very eyes. They have destroyed lives and livelihood at will,[4] and Haley continues to to-dance around this issue like a bulking bull.

For example, Salah Basrallah, a Yemeni farmer, “had lost 21 family members in four consecutive airstrikes on his village, including his six children and wife… It took survivors five days to dig out all the bodies; many had been shredded to pieces.”[5] There is more:

“Fast forward to [2016]. With the coalition bombing campaign hitting the one-year mark, airstrikes continue to devastate the lives of innocent Yemeni families. In the capital of Sanaa, all that remains of the home where Judge Yahya Rubaid and his family once lived is a metal skeleton, chunks of concrete dangling from what used to be his living room.

“An airstrike hit at 1:30 a.m. on Jan. 25, as the judge and his wife, children, and grandchildren slept. A second strike followed shortly after, the sound echoing through the city.”[6]

The Time itself reported last year:

“A double airstrike incinerated a packed funeral hall in Yemen’s capital on Oct. 8, killing about 140 people. It was a scene of fire and blood that was widely blamed on a military coalition led by Saudi Arabia that has intervened in Yemen since March 2015.

“The attack underscored the human cost of the Saudi-led operation in Yemen, where an estimated 10,000 people have been killed… It also illustrated one of the more uncomfortable aspects of American foreign policy in the Middle East, where the U.S. supports the Saudi-led military campaign while condemning similar mass attacks on civilians elsewhere in the region…

“The Saudi coalition has a long record of attacking civilian targets in Yemen, including schools, hospitals, factories and marketplaces. In May 2015, the coalition dropped leaflets declaring the entire province of Saada a military target. Data compiled by independent researchers and published by the Guardian in September showed that one in three Saudi-led airstrikes hit civilian targets.”[7]

Keep in mind that the Saudi government “purchased more than $20 billion in arms from the U.S. in 2015 alone.”[8] Farea Muslimi, a Yemeni analyst with the Carnegie Middle East Center, declared: “Unfortunately the reality is United States support has not actually decreased the human cost at all. It has unfortunately contributed to it, given the Saudis a blank check over Yemen in this war.”[9]

UK Accused Of Blocking UN Inquiry Into Saudi War Crimes In Yemen

The interesting thing is that Nikki Haley skipped all of that and hasn’t said a damn thing about the US supporting this diabolical enterprise in Yemen. Yet she moved on to attack Iran, the very country that helped destabilize ISIS in places like Syria.

Haley has recently declared that Iran should take the blame for a missile that was launched at a Saudi airport last month. “The Iranian regime cannot be allowed to engage in its lawless behavior any longer,” she risibly declared.

“The fight against Iranian aggression is the world’s fight. This missile was used to attack an international civilian airport in Saudi Arabia. Just imagine if this missile had been launched at Dulles Airport or JFK, or the airports in Paris, London, or Berlin.”[10] Haley also claims that the world cannot allow Iran to “to engage in its lawless behavior any longer.”

Haley, sounding like a psychopath, again declared: “It’s hard to find a conflict or terrorist group in the Middle East that doesn’t have Iran’s fingerprints all over it. They are allowing missiles like this to be fired over to innocent civilians.”[11]

The UN rightly dismissed the stupid claim:

“The panel, which reported that the missile also contained an American-made component, concluded it ‘has no evidence as to the identity of the broker or supplier…’

“Sweden’s U.N. ambassador, Olof Skoog, who serves as a non-permanent Security Council member and has access to the confidential U.N. panel report, said Haley ‘may be in possession of evidence I have not seen. The information I have up to now is less clear’ that Iran is the culprit.”[12]

Nikki Haley has proved herself again and again to be a puppet of the Israeli regime. Even the Huffington Post, of all places, has dumped her claim in a political trashcan.

“While fiercely denouncing Iran, Haley neglected to acknowledge America’s own prolonged role in destabilizing the Middle East through its support of a military offensive that continues to slaughter Yemeni men, women and children.

“The U.S. is a powerful international backer of a Saudi-led coalition against the Houthis that has conducted hundreds of airstrikes on Yemeni soil over the past two and a half years. Under the leadership of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, coalition airstrikes in Yemen have killed thousands of civilians, according to the U.N., with no end to the military operations in sight.

“The kingdom admitted last December to using British-made cluster bombs ― known to cause mass civilian casualties and banned by more than 100 countries. Human Rights Watch also accused the coalition earlier this year of committing war crimes and carrying out indiscriminate attacks in Yemen.

“The crisis has deteriorated under Saudi Arabia’s month-long blockade of desperately needed aid supplies in Yemen, where nearly 70 percent of the population depends on foreign aid to survive. Some 7 million people in the country are already at risk of starvation, and nearly 1 million have been infected with cholera.”[13]

As our dear friend and colleague Mark Dankof put it last month,

“This is obviously another attempt on the part of key people within the Trump administration and on Capitol Hill, who are controlled by Israel, to destroy this arrangement [the nuclear deal] and produce a series of circumstances where the United States, and Israel and Saudi Arabia can take further illegitimate aggressive actions towards Iran.

“I would suggest that they listen to the chairman of the joint chiefs of staff [Joseph Dunford] and that they listen to their own intelligence agencies and they listen to the IAEA and recognize that Iran is in full compliance and that the United States needs a full working honest diplomatic relationship with that country.”
