Facts vs. Beliefs – Today’s Ancient Warfare

In unconventional warfare, beliefs are deployed as weapons by those waging war by way of deception. Recall Iraqi weapons of mass destruction? Iraqi ties to Al Qaeda? Iraqi biological weapons laboratories? Iraqi meetings in Prague with Al Qaeda? Iraqi purchases of yellowcake uranium from Niger?

All these claims were alleged true but later proven false or, worse, fabricated. Yet all were widely believed. In combination, those beliefs induced a consensus to wage war in Iraq in response to a mass murder on U.S. soil. The same deception traceable to the same source is now working to expand this war to Iran.

I am going on the record before there is any official story at all on the murders at Ft. Hood.  The more time passes, the more investigation goes on, the deeper it gets.  12 dead so far is a terrorist attack, not an Army psychiatrist with a stress problem.  Nobody is at fault, not this president, not the last one and not the army.  People kill people, not guns.  It could always happen and it did.  No coverup is wanted, no spin desired no CYA, nothing.  Deal with it.

The most burning questions of our times are: How to solve the problems of the raging violence and bring closure to the War on Terror? It is imperative that hostilities emanating from 9/11 are stopped expeditiously, but how do we do it since 9/11 is infested with so many doubts and suspicions? What is true and what is false about 9/11 could only be clarified by a judicial inquiry, and so it is critical that the events of 9/11 should be investigated properly and thoroughly so truth may be discovered to bring closure to the raging hostilities.

It is therefore expedient to institute a Judicial Inquiry into the 9/11 events first to investigate the veracity of this crime and identify the perpetrators and then comprehend the nature of this conflict so its root-causes could be addressed to thwart recurrence of similar outbursts in the future.

When dead American soldiers were brought back in secret, in shame, it was at the orders of Vice President Cheney.  Cheney planned the Iraq invasion even before the election and well before 9/11.  The Cheney's testimony before the 9/11 Commission is filled with things like, "We never thought anyone would attack America, we knew nothing, nothing, nothing....never expected anything at all."

The idea that Osama bin Laden was responsible for the 9/11 attacks has been an article of faith for public officials and the mainstream media. Calling it an “article of faith” points to two features of this idea. On the one hand, no one in these circles publicly challenges this idea.

On the other hand, as I pointed out at length in two of my books – 9/11 Contradictions1 and The New Pearl Harbor Revisited,2 no good evidence has ever been publicly presented to support it.

Colin Powell’s Withdrawn Promise Two weeks after 9/11, Secretary of State Colin Powell, speaking to Tim Russert on Meet the Press, said that he expected “in the near future . . . to put out . . . a document that will describe quite clearly the evidence that we have linking [bin Laden] to this attack.”3

In today's New York Times there is an article concerning the President visiting the returning war dead at Dover AFB.  Thank you Mr. President, I appreciate your leadership.  Just one mild suggestion however from a fellow Democrat and one who voted for you.  It is about saluting. Civilians do not do it. Ever.

It is not appropriate for civilians to use a military salute.  Please place your hand over your heart in these situations, that is the proper response from the President.  The last thing we need in this country is more and continual perpetuation of the "militarization" of American politics and the American civilian chain of command.  It is not appropriate in our civilian led government to "militarize" our civic duties.

We want civilians in charge at all times in this Republic.  I appreciate your attempt at respect but you are the President, and not a general.  Please act like the civilian in charge at all times.  That is what we want from this Republic's commander in chief of the armed forces, a civilian.  Thank you sir.

Today's New York Times, like so often before, offers a microcosmic view of U.S. policy in the Middle East and around the world like nothing else seems to be able to do. Lets start with the headlines, shall we?  They are not pretty today.

In this story, Ahmed Wali Karzai, the brother of the President of Afghanistan and a major opium dealer in that country has just been revealed as an alleged reciepient of U.S. intelligence payments.  He is on the CIA payroll.  Great! Who else is on that payroll, Beelzebub?

Lets move on.  There is plenty of terror and death to read about.

GOOD ACTOR BUT 3RD RATE CONSPIRACY WINGNUT

Lord only know, I like Chuck Norris, his films, his TV shows and even his hokey infomercials.  As one of the real people Norris pretends to be in his movies, he can be inspiring, if not massively overstated. 

As a Vietnam War combat vet, I love being portrayed in overblown Hollywood style.  However, when it comes to having Norris use his status as a "Vietnam Era" Air Force vet to spout crazy conspiracy mumbo jumbo, someone, please get this man some help.  His last article in the extremist WorldNetDaily is simply sick.

In today's New York Times there is an editorial pounding the Obama Administration, and rightly so, for continuing the Bush Era cover-up policy on CIA and American military torture overseas.  That story is here.  The editors of the Times are correct.  We either have a transparent, democratic government based on law and justice or we do not.  There is no middle ground.

Release all information on torture and American involvement now. This is what Mr. Obama clearly campaigned on, transparent government.  This is what the real America needs to do in order to regain its soul.

"In the latest exchange between old and new administrations, Mr. Biden rebuffed his predecessor’s criticism about President Obama’s handling of Afghanistan as “absolutely wrong.” And Mr. Biden rejected the last review of the war conducted by the White House under former President George W. Osama bin Laden died during or immediately after the Tora Bora attack in December 2001.  The cause is believed to have been wounds complicated by advanced kidney disease.  This fact is universally accepted in Afghanistan, Pakistan and elsewhere in the Islamic world.

It has now reached the point in Pakistan that whenever an Osama bin Laden tape is on television, people roll around the floor laughing themselves to death.  This has been verified through the highest levels of Pakistan's military and intelligence services who have confirmed that, not only has Bin Laden been dead for years but the United States has known and accepted this fact, a fact well known to our political, intelligence and military leaders, since well before the invasion of Iraq and confirmed by sources active in FBI counter-terrorism at that time.

"My Republican colleagues abandoned their focus on Afghanistan for seven years, seven years, and let it drift, and did not resource it properly, and did not succeed.  We were under-resourced in Iraq for at least five-and-a-half years. Where were the Republicans? They were in charge. Where were they?"  

Was the "step aside" that allowed 9/11, the phony intel starting the Iraq War and the dismal failure in Afghanistan Bush incompetence or was it part of a plan to occupy Central Asia for its oil, gas and opium under the guise of a phony war, investing dead soldiers and reaping massive profits? 

HOW ISRAEL WAGES GAME THEORY WARFARE

In 2005, the Nobel Prize in Economic Science was awarded to Israeli mathematician and game theory specialist Robert J. Aumann, co-founder of the Center for Rationality at Hebrew University. This Jerusalem resident explains: "the entire school of thought that we have developed here in Israel" has turned "Israel into the leading authority in this field."

According to news releases just now being posted on the internet these past few hours it seems that the American people are being faced with national security concerns that will radically alter our perception of reality vis a vis our role in western Asia and the Middle East. 

Where should I start?  There is so much going on right now concerning these swiftly changing political and national defense situations that it is actually a little disconcerting.  Nothing seems solid right now. A lot of our perceptions seem to be mostly mist and fog.  Take a look.

Sunday's suicide bomb attack in Iran's Sistan-Baluchistan province, in which five senior officers of the Revolutionary Guard and at least 30 other people were killed, marks a significant escalation in an ongoing Sunni Islamist terror campaign directed against the Islamic Republic. We do not believe that Sunday's attack and the ongoing campaign of terrorist violence represents a fundamental threat to the Islamic Republic's basic political stability.

If we are going to continue to engage in the Wars of the Muslim Reformation we need to use theology.  Bombs are useless.
