Gilad Atzmon on Dieudonné and the Quenelle

[youtube WpbI-Z2anlw]

If the quenelle is loosely defined as an anti establishment salute,  one may wonder why Jews are offended by it and regard it as an ‘anti-Semitic’ gesture?

Is it because many Jews actually identify with ‘the establishment’? And how do we explain the fact that the French government is happy to compromise the most elementary liberties just to appease the French Jewish Lobby (Crif)?

The truth is devastating – Palestine is here and the French people are the Palestinians Du Jour…

Gilad Atzmon

Gilad Atzmon is an Israeli-born British jazz saxophonist, novelist, political activist and writer.

Atzmon's album Exile was BBC jazz album of the year in 2003. Playing over 100 dates a year,[4] he has been called "surely the hardest-gigging man in British jazz." His albums, of which he has recorded nine to date, often explore the music of the Middle East and political themes. He has described himself as a "devoted political artist." He supports the Palestinian right of return and the one-state solution in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

His criticisms of Zionism, Jewish identity, and Judaism, as well as his controversial views on The Holocaust and Jewish history have led to allegations of antisemitism from both Zionists and anti-Zionists. A profile in The Guardian in 2009 which described Atzmon as "one of London's finest saxophonists" stated: "It is Atzmon's blunt anti-Zionism rather than his music that has given him an international profile, particularly in the Arab world, where his essays are widely read."

His new book The Wandering Who? is now availble at

  1. Gilad,
just a few words in general. I read your book ‘The Wandering Who’ recently. I can’t tell you how those pages blew my (conditioned teutonic) mind! It was a revelation! Through your great work I (for the first time) understood what it all means and how complex the term jew, judaism etc is. Germans in particular can’t deal well with this topic. Your book should be read at school, as should all of your writings. You should be allowed to talk to students in class rooms. We need to rid ourselves from taboos and start talking ‘tacheles’.
I just want to thank you for clearing up this complicated matter for the world and the ‘goim’ in particular. You have guts and this is what’s needed right now!

(Don’t pay too much attention to my nick, I chose it mainly for Michael Shrimpton!!)

    Cheers and all the best!

  2. Amazing, Ynet has a tutorial how to fold a Hitler so that the result is a quenelle:

I hope they will produce a poster of this for the Holocaust Museum of Modern Art.

  3. I thought being “the Establishment” was the whole point of Jewish-ness. If they’re hand-picked by the Almighty Himself (Herself) to control the nations and all the “affairs of men”, is that not “The Establishment”, by definition?

  4. sorry, it’s above the link, and Stephan, that is what the sign means- Jewish owned media has just concocted a narrative to spin it as anti semitic and you know what, I think they will now get their wish!

    • “… that is what the sign means …”

Thanks for the info (place holder for Smiley presenting flowers).

  5. Thanks to relay the struggle of Dieudonné here in France as well as alain soral. We have the same problem in France with the Zionist lobby which has lock our country, comedian Dieudonné is a large heavy duty which humorously denounced the mafia cartel that controls and impoverished the masses it Federated population in France despite a hard media, wolves out of the wood…
Here is a video about Dieudo, it would be cool if someone you could title ^^ Dieudonné – Le combat d’un Homme Libre

  6. “The truth is devastating – Palestine is here and the French people are the Palestinians Du Jour…”

The same is true with America. We can stand with Palestine or we can become Palestine!

  7. I prefer the interpretation rolling up the sleeve and ramming the fist directly into the establishment’s b*** 🙂
