NEO – Eurasian Economic Union and its New Currency

There’s a high probability that the EEU new currency will not only be used by the countries of the Eurasian Union

[ Editor’s noteVladimir Platov gives us a good overview of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) countries’ efforts to protect themselves from the US sanctions bullying, which has been grossly over used and will have a permanent boomerang effect.

While the US might have seen a natural progression away from the huge dollarization domination in international trade, the deployed plan to stop or slow it down has had the opposite effect. It makes me long for the day when those in high government positions were shot for huge failures.

This natural defensive reaction by the EEU to the Western sanctions financial attacks has been spun onto the Western people as Putin wanting to reestablish the old Soviet Empire. So now we taxpayers must fund, with borrowed money, a Great Wall of Ukraine to hold back the barbarian hordes.

This is both sad and silly at the same time. I cringe when I hear top military commanders trot out this threat hoax, whose sole purpose is to manipulate us into supporting their devious plan. They also hurt the military’s reputation, as they now are a threat, through their lying to us and backing an offensive that is clearly the desire of a few at the expense of the rest of us.

Any claims by these morons that they are doing this for our benefit should be thrown back in their faces with venom. Our NATO cmdr. Breedlove is at the top of the list, notwithstanding that he is following policy he had been charged to carry out. The days of “resigning in dignity” for standing up for the public seems to be over. No one does it anymore, as it’s considered silly.

These Eurasian countries are not trying to improve their economic circumstances by attacking America with sanctions and trade manipulations.

On the contrary, they are working fast to make theirs more efficient, modern, and having more options to participate in larger regional trade deals with China, and now India is tapping at the door.

I must say, it was a surprise to see the large numbers of countries wanting to be founding members of the new Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, including major US allies… some winds of change going on, for sure.

I would say that the US should take a lesson here, but I am not that naïve. We have done almost nothing to pry the fingers of the gangsters and banksters from our throats. But we do see on VT and our new radio network growing numbers of people waking up to how our political structure has sold us out to run with the bad boys.

No wonder “they” want us to refocus on the Russian Bear as a big threat, but it is not working. The internet is a growing hurdle for them in terms of how quickly we can debunk their lies and scams. And, despite the corporate media blackout on us here at VT, we are, step by step, building our own mass media operation.

This will require more staffing and more funding, and we see a potential radio audience in the 5 to 10 million range. That is bigger than a lot of medium-sized corporate media outlets.

If we work together and smarter, we can break the blockade — not by forcing them to cover us, but just going around it. Success breeds success, and it gets easier to wake people up… Jim W. Dean ]

PutinThe recent meeting of the presidents of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan that took place in Astana highlighted the transition to a more active phase of monetary union creation carried out by these states.

This measure should allow the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) to promptly respond to financial and economic threats, along with protecting the common market.

There’s little doubt that this decision was affected by a number of factors, including the international political agenda and the present-day economic challenges. After all, any fluctuation of national currencies within the EEU may have trade distorting effects, due to the fact that a closed ecosystem, where goods, services, capital, labor circulate between its units, any changes in the exchange rates affect the whole system.

In addition, the recent devaluation of ruble has made dollar exchange between the EEU states more expensive. To make matter worse, the West, following the policies imposed by Washington, is constantly threatening Russian to disconnect it from the SWIFT international payment system.

But at the same time the members of the EEU are still obtaining confirmation from Western financial centers when they carry out transactions within the Union, but this situation is about to change.

On 1 January 2015, the EEU has officially become the spiritual heir of the Customs Union, and today its members: Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Armenia are negotiating the accession of yet another member to the EEU in the near future – it’s Kyrgyzstan.

Last year, the members of the EEU have signed  an agreement in Kazakhstan on the creation of Eurasian Central Bank that will have the authority to emit a common currency.

A decree that was signed on March 10 by Russia’s President Vladimir Putin implies that both the government and the Bank of Russia in close cooperation with the central banks of the EEU member states should determine the possible ways of monetary and financial integration, along with evaluating the possible benefits for the respective economies.

By June 1, Russia’s government should ensure that Russian ministries and departments are engaged in the creation of a unified market of goods and services, while making all the necessary legislative adjustments to Russian laws.

However, apart from the economic component of this step, there’s a number of political and social implications. It all comes down to the notion of making the new currency a widespread means of payment.

First of all, the national currencies of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan are now undergoing some rough times.

Additionally, 90% of the economic basis for this association is provided by the Russian Federation, therefore, to make this currency work some additional investments must to be made by Russia.

Second, the trade between the members of the EEU are facing certain complications caused by individual disputes between the members of the Union on the movement of capital and goods, which wouldn’t be affecting the integration processes in a positive way.

Yet, all the members of the Union have a clear understanding that this step is the only logical thing to do if they strive to achieve a complete depolarization of the space and minimize the costs of mutual trade.

There’s a certain amount of experience that has been accumulated by every member of the Union, since the “original” ruble had been in extensive use in this space in the period of 1949-1991.

As for the name of the new currency, it is unlikely that we will see “ruble” being used again. Last year, Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev proposed two names:

  • “euras” – similar to the European currency,

  • “altin” – the name that was widespread during the times of the Golden Horde

The main advantage of that new currency is that, unlike dollars and a number of other modern currencies, it will be supported by some real economic figures.

Those conditions, according to international experts, are pretty unique, since only Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Canada and South Africa can achieve something of the sort today.

For this reason, there’s a high probability that this new currency will not only be used by the countries of the Eurasian Union alone, but by a number of other countries, that want to get rid of their dependence on Washington.

In fact, this trend has already started, since Germany, Italy and France have voiced their intentions to become founders of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank that is being created by China, while Turkey and Iran are considering the option of joining the EEU.___

I’sn’t letting countries like the U.K., France ,Germany, etc. analogous to letting the red shield banksters in the front door of AIIB….or do the banksters have one more large heist of Main Street U.S. coming…..determine that the ROI in the U.S. is not satisfactory any longer……and are taking preemptive actions by moving to greener pastures aka next victim…

They want honest money. Imagine what we would be under such a scenario. Release the Wants funds, with the appropriate accrued interest and damages, and end the TREASON emanating from the Feral Reserve! Evict the Rockefeller’s from our land.

The Euro had a dismal effect on many parts of Europe. I can’t see a single currency benefiting anyone other than the stronger economies of this zone, and causing PIIGy style problems for the small ones.
A nation that loses control over its currency loses control full stop.
Mind you if they use gold, silver and other tangible commodities perhaps they will be able to demonstrate something worthwhile. The common currency idea seems to me to be making the same mistake as their neighbor in the hope of a better result.

While we’re distracted by FF side shows, the EEU and AIIB are leading to de-dolarization and the means to keep the welfare state running while our military is depleted serving Israel’s planned conquest from the Nile to the Euphrates, aka Greater Israel. As we see, the US welfare fund is about to run dry–good-bye safety net for Americans in need–, yet congress is almost unanimously behind going into trillions more debt to destroy Iran and Syria for Israel, not to mention drawing Russia into a war costing trillions more. Congress and the Fed are so willing to rob Americans to serve Greater Israel and Wall St that Yellin was just forced to admit cash is no longer a store of value. I’d say the dollar’s demise is immanent this time around, which may advance the plan to make war on Russia, Iran, Syria, etc before dollars won’t buy a parade let alone WWIII.

Amen Dan, It’s almost like they have been assured the axe will not fall until after they die, but until then they can live very good and there will be an island for their families to live on.
