How Planned Parenthood controversy killed a US veterans fertility bill

murrayThe ongoing controversy over Planned Parenthood’s fetal-tissue practices has temporarily killed a bill that would have helped military veterans receive fertility treatments and counseling.

Democrat Sen. Patty Murray from Washington State abruptly pulled her bill from the Senate Veteran’s Affairs Committee after her Republican counterpart Sen. Thom Tillis of North Carolina proposed some amendments to the bill, Washington Post reported.

The Women Veterans and Families Health Services Act of 2015, introduced by Senator Murray last February, is a bipartisan bill that offers “fertility treatment and counseling, including through the use of assisted reproductive technology, to a spouse, partner, or gestational surrogate of a severely wounded, ill, or injured member of the Armed Forces who has an infertility condition incurred or aggravated while serving on active duty in the Armed Forces.”

  1. The twisted minds of a heartless house and senate killed a US veterans fertility bill. Despite what they’re saying one issue has not one thing to do with the other.

    • Look before you leap, Altimometer. The blame for this lies squarely with Planned Parenthood. Don’t cover for them. They got busted for going far beyond inappropriate and well into illegal. Organ and tissue harvesting is a serious matter with its own set of regulations and laws. PP lives in a weird universe where the laws do not apply to them. They do as they please and the wyminz lybbur howlers back them up.

Dr. Dumb Broad in the clip gave it all away while she was stuffing her mug. Another one got busted afterwards doing the same thing. There might be more. Who knows? So there’s a problem. Any lawmaker who works with them after this is asking for trouble.

Don’t worry about them, they won’t spend a day in jail. Worry about the vets who are exposed to chemicals that affect their health and that of their future children. Why don’t lawmakers go to the source of that?

Lawmakers worked with them in good faith when constructing various issues, but they didn’t. That outfit really has no reason to be now that Obamacare is now the law of the land. There are lots of people who would be willing to fund them privately, so let them. There is no reason for taxpayers have to fund their antics.
