Attorney general was arrested, fingerprinted and photographed at Collin County Jail.  The grand jury indictments listing three felony charges also were made public.

Around noon, the grand jury indictment against Paxton was unsealed, revealing that two first-degree fraud charges were based on Paxton’s efforts in July 2011 — when he was a member of the Texas House — to sell stock on behalf of Servergy Inc., a McKinney-based tech company.

According to the indictment, Paxton failed to tell stock buyers — including state Rep. Byron Cook, R-Corsicana, and Florida businessman Joel Hochberg, who were listed as complainants on the fraud charges — that he had been compensated with 100,000 shares of Servergy stock. Paxton also said he was an investor in Servergy when he was not, the charges indicated.

Paxton encouraged investors, including Texas House members, to put more than $600,000 into Servergy, special prosecutor Kent Schaffer told the New York Times last week.

First-degree felonies can be punished by up to life in prison.

  1. Texas? Is that the same state where 17 of 18 members of a druggie family were found murdered and skinned, in Brownsville, Summer 1984? During which period the 18th member, a George W. Bush, disappeared for 3 days? Texas authority investigated the murders until they began to focus on the 18th member of the clan, George W. Bush, at which point, a George H. W. Bush stopped the investigation. I wonder if an “official report” of the 17 murders was published? If yes, was it published from Austin, the District, or from Miami ?
Of course, the murder of 17 Texans scarcely compares with 3,000 in NYC or the thousands of Americans in the Middle East since the unwarranted attack on Iraq. We dare not consider, ” – we’re going to take out seven countries in five years, starting with Iraq, and then Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and, finishing off, Iran.” Which plan was in the Pentagon when 9-11 was conducted.

  2. This whole issue would have been encouraging and praiseworthy if only the punitive actions taken represented violations against the common man, instead of an influential businessman and state Rep.

  3. With these creations, it’s either payoff or ripoff but when they get caught and face adjudication, as rare as it is, do they squeal loudly… about a frame up? Some other outfit types reside in Tejas, BIG ones.

  4. His eyes aren’t converging on the same place. I see disbelief and desperation in that photo. Of course, I also see the look of a man that believes he can do no wrong. A true narcissist.

  5. I’m sure it was all a big misunderstanding. LOL The woes for the state trying to defend itself against imaginary evils continues. What is even funnier is the money being spent on youtube ads for the Texas State Guard,,. cryin out loud.

Ken Paxton’s Pastor at his church is named Swindoll. You can’t make this crap UP ! “Paxton is a charter member of the nondenominational Stonebriar Community Church in Frisco, founded in 1998 by senior pastor Chuck Swindoll”
Texas, you do realize that the office of Attorney General is supposed to Uphold the law as well as Enforce it ? ok , fair enough, now you do. Who’s next ? Louisiana maybe ? again

    • Palintology is,…… the scientific study of life existent prior to, and sometimes including, the start of the Holocene Epoch roughly 11,700 years before present. It includes the study of fossils to determine organisms’ evolution and interactions with each other and their environments (their paleoecology). Paleontological observations have been documented as far back as the 5th century BC.
