Iranian Press: Putin to Send 150,000 Troops to Syria

Putin to Dispatch 150,000 Troops in Syria to Eliminate ISIS
The Russian leader is set to mobilize 150,000 soldiers to Syria in order to wipe out ISIS and to join the west countries following the Paris attacks.

Vladimir Putin is reportedly mounting an enormous military mission to take control of the terror group’s stronghold of Raqqa.  (Editor’s note:  VT sources indicate that Raqqah is a virtual “ghost town” with only a skeleton force of ISIS still there as all supplies from Turkey have been cut off.)

The city is the self-declared capital of ISIS in Syria and is patrolled by as many as 5,000 takfiri terrorists.

Putin is set to prepare 150,000 reservists who he conscripted into the military in September.

Yesterday, following the Paris attacks, Putin hinted he was ready to join forces with the West to tackle ISIS.

He told David Cameron: “The recent tragic events in France show that we should join efforts in preventing terror.” express reported.

  1. I am kept in the dsrk again by vt 🙂
Russia sure kk ows what is at stske here. West is looking for some ceasefire kind of bomb shell. Thry csn change name of isis and pretend thsg isis disbanded ie surrended. Bingo. Big political capital for “moderates”
    What next?
I suspect that ceasefire line will be defacto new border of divided syria.!

I suspect that raqqa is critical for it to be part of new country to be formed.

  2. Iranian troops are already climatized, understand the situation and closer to the scene. They also understand that US-hired mercenaries comprise +70% of ISIS and the remaining CIA/MOSSAD-trained jihadists are not genuine Moslems. Two brigades moving from Syrian-held territory northward would drive many ISIS soldiers -back- into Turkey, while removing many, permanently. Why Assad has not requested the assistance of Iranian leadership is for me a question.

  3. Peter,
Iran has to keep itself up to speed and cant afford to dump all their resources in Syria. They’ve been in Syria since the beginning. The IRCG lost a lot of men and continue to ship tons of supplies through Iran. Its not enough considering 60 countries are assisting the FSA/ISIS/Al Nursa…

  4. The draft was the ultimate gift to zion. Without it the hegemonic war lords are left with mercenaries, either professional or quick trained from refugee camps. Im guessing the Iraq invasion gave them an infinite stock. The fake caliphate was genius.
The US can use its volunteer force to fight along side the captagon and dope smoking mercenaries to fend off ambitious and well trained Russian troops backed by an equally sophisticated and regularly upgraded military apparatus, and Im sure nothing bad would ever be reported about it, just like Vietnam, or Iraq. Snark.

  5. Almost a month and Russia is tearing the whole sceme to ruin Syria to peaces. Without the bombing campaign they never would have seen Turkey’s complicancy to foster and aid ISIS. Without the bombing campaign the world would not have seen US complacency toward sparing ISIS oil transfer from Iraq and Syria to Turkey. Without the bombing campaign the only thing that would have changed is the increased number of ISIS members taking over Damascus and larger fuel convoys.
The Turkish border will be shut down or destroyed if Russia has anything to do with the Turkmen lingering about the area insuring Turkish transport of arms, supplies, and fuel into and out of Turkey. Once Turkey is secure and no longer a threat Jordan will be next. Shooting at Pilots in parachutes and rescue helicopters is a good way to piss off the wrong country.
Germany and France are either jumping ship or playing a dangerous game if they pretend to side with Russia. Either way they aren’t supporting the Syrian collapse with full vigor any more.
    The beat goes on.

  6. There is double talk contained within that quote. I don’t buy for a second he believes ISIL is behind the Paris attacks. Leaked reports state otherwise and even if those reports are completely false, Russia’s Intel can’t be that pathetic and he is too shrewd to be that naive. Right now I take this article with a grain of salt. It sounds like folly or BS. Take your pick. But either way, we’re not being told the whole truth nor should we expect to be told the whole truth. I’m not buying into it at the moment.

  7. Turks are nasty, when ever I think of them I remember the movie “Midnight Express”, and stories I heard that they cut the hands off of children, let scream bloody murder running around in a field till they bleed to death and fell dead to the ground. Well to get to the heart of IS is to go into Turkey, Saudi Arabia and sorry to say, USA headquarters. Does Putin have the where with all to, accomplish this ? Is the US that desperate and have planned it, to end, this way ?

  8. No, the Antonov An-225 Mriya is the world’s largest aircraft, but only two exist and they are primarily intended to carry external loads.

  9. South Front has translated a report by military-informant dot com that battalion size Russian ground units are participating in the Aleppo area.

  10. Only a fool would trash a heaven-sent opportunity.
With all the mind boggling weaponry at its disposal Russia all the while feigned toothless while Putin acted with a schoolboy’s timidity and elaborate politeness. Now the wrath of the bear is provoked and every of its denizens would like a paid visit to some warmer climes. Who knows they may even decide to make some pilgrimage landfall to their holy shrines in Jerusalem.

  11. It is amazing to watch Putin use the west’s false flag hoaxes(like Paris) to escalate his attacks on ISISrael. First the airliner and then Paris and now Turkey’s ambush. If we could add Sandy Hoax and Boston (non)bombing to the equation, ISISrael wouldn’t last out the week. The NATO cabal using their mossaderate terrorists just don’t get it, quit giving Putin more reasons to put their rabid dog down. Turkey missed their history classes about “our” guarantees, we got your back, on Poland and Kuwait…

  12. Seems too good to be true.

Would be nice to see 150,000 Russian troops liberate the Golan from the KZM terrorists.

    1. Al Alam is full of waaay to sugary baklava.

      1) Moscow has had major troubles recruiting for their armed forces for years.

      2) 150k reservists being conscripted might be true, but NOT for Syria.
The Chechnyan leader offered Putin his experienced SOF two months ago.

      3) Mother Russia sending her sons abroad again after suffering Afghanistan?
Rodina values her sons more than the West does our lives.

      4) Iran has no lack of soldiers and opposed to Moscow can and SHOULD send some brigades to Syria.
