Nahed Al Husaini VT Damascus Bureau (Exclusive interview with former Prime Minister Nouri al Maliki
Veterans Today Damascus Bureau Chief, Nahed al Husaini interviewed Nouri al Maliki Sunday. These are key excerpts from a ranging two hour discussion. Maliki is known to be critical of US actions in Iraq, certainly has the guts to stand up to Turkey and is likely to be Iraq’s next prime minister.
VT: Obama’s efforts in Iraq have fallen under criticism at home and in Iraq. There is considerable distrust for America, particularly after Turkey’s incursion. How do you see this playing out?
Maliki: The US has been blocking Iraq’s efforts to take Ramadi. There is a reason for this, the US plans to keep Anbar as a buffer region, totally under US control.
VT: Who is backing this US stance in Iraq?
Maliki: Certainly the Kurds are but the US also has strong support from the Saudi backed Islamic Party as well. These are groups that were willing, early on, to accept a breakup of Iraq and now seem to be aligning themselves in that direction again.
VT: What do you think about current Turkish moves against Iraq?
Maliki: I believe the Turkish base in Mosul, supported by US Special Forces, aims to cut communications likes between Iran, Iraq Syria and Lebanon. Kirkuk’s oil will fall under Turkish control through the Kurds, one of the world’s largest oil fields, perhaps the real financial goal of the combined US and Turkish move into Iraq. A key concern is the historically unreliable Kurdish leadership that is continually running to Erdogan like lapdogs.

European security sources told VT that the military operations in Syria will witness a dramatic shift as the Iranian Revolutionary Guards have taken a step forward towards direct involvement in the embattlement. The Iranians will be engaged in urban combat, armed with untraditional weapons including Surface-to-air Missiles, drones, artillery, and heavy weapons.
In discussions over the last two days with former Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al Maliki, it was learned that the Baghdad government is deeply upset with America’s continued support of Turkish intentions and is suspicious of American complicity in support of ISIS operations.

Its task is unspecified thus far but it is strongly believed that ultimate goal of the troop deployment is to strike the Iraqi popular militia similar to the Yemeni scenario.

Who is it that gave the ok for Iran to sell all that oil and why? It seems to undermine tptb or at least the ones that may be on the way out. I seem to recall The Poodle Kerry and Obama arranging it and Netanyahu being angry.
I think empowering Iran that way, need of East West pipeline and collapse of USD are all related. And where is China in all this?
China needs to put a half-million boots on the ground in Syria and Iraq to wipe out ISIS and the foreign troops supporting them. Or they can wait and fight them later on their own territory.
Turkey and Saudi Arabia are both said to be on the menu. It looks as if the foundation being laid, is ahead of schedule. Who says anyone is cooperating openly? Surely one can understand that France, Germany, and Russia intel agencies are joined at the hip..hard to believe those in the west are out of the loop. So at the end of the day what does all this public knowledge BS really boil down to?
Will Iran be manipulated into a war with the Saudis? Will Turkey be the grand prize? Surely all points North of Turkey would benefit, not to mention Russia’s Financial interests. Who will then control Saudi Arabia? That shooting in Cali has a lot to do with the conditioning aspects of Saudi being on the menu. Get used to it, much more to come. Iran deal…..way more than any Nuclear deal…..I’m thinking a hammer for the next big adventure. OPEC caved in Friday….all done now every man for himself…only thinking this isn’t be design is thinking like an amateur or novice…What would war on Saudi soil do to the price of crude? lol.

I just said that yesterday in another article that the US now plans to divide up Iraq and Syria because of Russian intervention now Maliki is saying it. Also I said that the US needed the Anbar region for the pipeline that was why they don’t want Iraq to take Ramadi because if Iraq takes it it will cut off the pipeline to Turkey. It would be in the best interest for Iraq to ask Russia in and tell the US to go. Of course the US will not go, they don’t believe in borders or rights of any country anyway but it will allow Russia to sell S-300 missiles to Iraq and with the Iranian Revolutionary Guards will turn this war into like the Iraq and Iranian war and the UN will be forced to do something they don’t want to, get involved. Then the laws of the world will be laid out and it will show that the US is they invader and trouble maker with its axis of evil.
All are involved. It’s a game for the public but behind the scenes..all agencies are working together. The US is simply playing it’s role, that’s what the Iran deal is really all about…a presence. Most of Europe can’t survive without Russian Oil and especially, Gas. Turkey is what they are really after…sucker them into conflict, bog them down, drain them, then carve them up. It’s already in motion. It’s why the Saudis are getting involved in these conflicts in an effort to show strength, wanting to be the leaders of the region, only they are fodder and have yet to grasp the magnitude. It’s the real reason why Oil is under 40 bucks a barrel….money going very very fast.
