Fresh Syrian Forces Arrive in Aleppo for Decisive Battle

Fresh Syrian Forces Arrive in Aleppo for Decisive Battle

TEHRAN (FNA)- A large number of fresh Syrian forces arrived in the province on Thursday as military sources in the Northern province of Aleppo revealed the army’s plans to start massive operations against the remaining Takfiri terrorists with 10,000 operating soldiers.

The reinforcement groups arrived in Aleppo battlefield to join the Syrian army and its allies to launch massive operations against the remaining Takfiri terrorists, the sources said.

Relevant reports earlier this month said that the commanders of the Syrian Ground and Air Forces, their allies and the Russian military advisors, in a joint meeting, coordinated the last steps of a large-scale operation in Aleppo to liberate the terrorist-held territories as soon as possible.

“The Large-scale operation to wipe out the militancy in Aleppo province is expected to start in the next 10 days,” sources said, adding, “Fresh recruits in large groups are heading Aleppo from the coastal province of Lattakia.”

Also, a report said in mid April that the al-Nusra Front terrorist group, for its part, dispatched more troops to Aleppo following the rapid victories of the Syrian Armed Forces in the Northwestern part of the province.

“The al-Qaeda-affiliated al-Nusra Front have dispatched nearly 350 fresh forces to join the terrorist front near the refugee camp of Handarat and Yarmoun to slow down the rapid advances of the Syrian Army troops and their popular allies in the region in the last two-three days,” sources said.

Turkey Planning New Aggression against Syrian Soil

Report: Turkey Planning New Aggression against Syrian Soil

TEHRAN (FNA)- Turkey is planning to launch a new invasion against Syria under the pretext of fighting against the ISIL terrorists, the Arab media reported.

Al-Quds al-Arabi newspaper quoted informed sources as saying that Turkey is due to intrude into the Syrian territories with the US air support.

According to the daily, Ankara wants to enter the Syrian soil through a region 8km in width and 18km in length.

In recent months, several reports have been released about Turkey’s plan, al-Quds al-Arabi reported, adding that it is not clear if the plan is in line with a bigger agreement between Ankara and Washington or Turkey’s old demand for creating a buffer zone in Syria.

Earlier reports, in March, had also quoted informed sources as saying that the Turkish army troops have crossed the border line with Syria in the Northeastern province of Hasaka and embarked on building a wall of separation along the border.

The Turkish officials and army men, backed by several Tanks and armored vehicles, entered the territories of the small town of Tal Halaf in the Western part of Ra’as al-Ein and launched construction operation of buffer wall at eight meters inside the Syrian territories.

Army Cuts Off Al-Nusra Front’s Supply Route in Marj Al-Sultan

Army Cuts Off Al-Nusra Front's Supply Route in Marj Al-Sultan

TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian Army troops and their allies continued to push the terrorist groups back from more lands in Eastern Ghouta and cut off their main line of supply in Marj al-Sultan, military sources said.

“The Syrian army forces surrounded al-Nusra Front’s primary supply road to the villages of Zibdeen and Deir al-Assafir in Marj al-Sultan area of the Eastern Ghouta in Damascus,” the sources said.

According to the sources, if the Takfiri terrorists fail to capture Bala al-Qadhima in coming days, they will be completely cut off and besieged in this area.

The Syrian government forces won back the small but strategic town of Bala al-Qadhima on Wednesday and actually divided the Eastern Ghouta into two separated Northern and Southern parts for the militants groups.

Liberation of Bala al-Qadhima ended in the Syrian government forces’ full control over the Harasta al-Qantara-Bezineh road that was the only communication road between the Northern and Southern parts of Eastern Ghouta and was one of the oldest and most strategic supply routes of the terrorist groups in the Eastern part of Damascus province.

The Syrian army, in recent weeks, has followed the strategy of cutting off the terrorist groups’ supply lines to face them shortage of ammunition and arms.

The capture of Bala al-Qadhima will engage the al-Nusra Front terrorists in the Northern part of Eastern Ghouta in the dire shortage of foodstuff , ammunition and arms coming from the Southern part.

Syrian Military: Claims about Aleppo Hospital Airstrike ‘Diversion Tactic’

Syrian Military: Claims about Aleppo Hospital Airstrike 'Diversion Tactic'

TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian military strongly rejected reports by groups and media close to militant groups who claimed the Air Force targeted a hospital in Aleppo city as ‘untrue’ and ‘a diversion tactic’ by militants to distract attention from their brutalities against civilians in the city.

The Syrian military said in a statement that reports claiming the Syrian Air Force attacked a hospital in al-Sukkari neighborhood in Aleppo city aimed at covering the terrorists’ crimes against civilians in the city.

Earlier Thursday, monitor groups close to Syrian anti-government militants claimed Syrian Air Force targeted a hospital in al-Sukkari neighborhood in Aleppo city,

The claim surfaced as recent reports suggest militant groups are shelling residential areas in the Syrian city of Aleppo during past 24 hours, leading to the death of at least 14 people.

Also a military source said the terrorists of the groups allied with al-Nusra Front have been violating the cessation of hostilities and the residential districts in Aleppo were hit by a number of mortar attacks.

The attacks by terrorists against civilian targets come as Syrian Army forces and their allies are surging in Aleppo to begin a massive operation against terrorists.

Violence in Syria, and particularly in Aleppo, has intensified in recent days, despite a partial truce.

ISIL Attack on Deir Ezzur Airbase Bounces Back on Terrorists

ISIL Attack on Deir Ezzur Airbase Bounces Back on Terrorists

TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian government forces repulsed ISIL’s offensive on Deir Ezzur airbase, killing and wounding tens of terrorists and seizing their weapons.

The ISIL launched an assault on Deir Ezzur military airport, targeting the Syrian army positions in several fronts with a huge number of Takfiri terrorists.

However, the Syrian army and popular forces thwarted the ISIL offensive and inflicted heavy losses upon the Takfiri terrorists.

According to a military source, the pro-government forces killed at least 30 militants, wounded scores of others and seized their weapons and ammunition.

Also on Wednesday, the Syrian army troops repelled the ISIL’s similar attack on the government forces’ positions in two different fronts and killed or wounded scores of them.

The ISIL attempts to prevail over the pro-government forces’ strongholds near the village of al-Jafreh and the strategic Deir Ezzur airbase were fended off by the strong defense of the Syrian soldiers.

In the meantime, the Syrian fighter jets hit the ISIL combatants’ positions heavily to prevent their advances in al-Jafreh and Deir Ezzur airbase, which claimed the lives of several militants and changed the scene of battles to the benefit of the Syrian army.

The ISIL’s military equipment and vehicles were also destroyed in the unsuccessful attacks.

TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian Army and the National Defense Forces (NDF) continued military operations in the countryside of the ancient city of Palmyra (Tadmur) in Homs province, targeting the ISIL positions along three different flanks.

“After pro-government forces targeted the ISIL defense lines at the Mustadura Gas Fields, Northeast of Palmyra, and took back 3 more hilltops en rout to the village of Arak, they targeted the ISIL positions at the Western flanks of Arak village and T-3 Military Base, inflicting heavy losses upon the Takfiri terrorists,” a popular forces commander said.

According to battlefield sources, the Syrian Army’s operations in Eastern Homs are focused on the two pivots in the Eastern countryside of Palmyra which has two strategic roads leading to Deir Ezzur province.

In a relevant development on Wednesday, the Syrian soldiers and the popular forces continued their advances against the ISIL terrorists in the Northeastern side of Palmyra and won back three more hilltops and territories there.

The ISIL pulled its forces back from at least three hilltops near Jabal (mountain) al-Mazar under the heavy attacks of the Syrian army and the National Defense Forces.

Then, the Syrian government forces advanced towards the Mustadura gas fields, eight kilometers to the Western side of the oilfield of Arak.

Iraqi Army Captures Village just 60 Kilometers to Mosul

Iraqi Army Captures Village just 60 Kilometers to Mosul

TEHRAN (FNA)- The Iraqi Army managed to capture Mahana village in the Eastern part of Nineveh province, security sources said.

The sources said that the Iraqi army after recapturing the village, has pushed ISIL militants back to Makok village near the oil-rich town of Qayyara which lies along Tigris River.

The capture of Mahana puts Iraqi government troops in the distance of just 60 kilometers to Mosul which has been transformed into a bastion of the ISIL terrorist group since it captured the major oil-rich city in the summer of 2014.

With no casualties reported among the Iraqi Army. The advance was made after a heavy bombardment by warplanes and artillery units enabled Iraqi army forces to hit ISIL severely in the village.

Local Iraqi Army commanders, who led their forces to capture 4 more villages within few past days, complained there was a lack of federal police manpower and tribal fighters to hold the newly-captured areas, thereby it is seemingly restricting further advances toward Mosul.

While Iraqi officials and politicians have promised to retake Mosul before the end of the year, the Iraqi Armed Forces and pro-government militias still have to go extra miles if they have the resolve to liberate the city.

Yesterday in Anbar province, the Iraqi Army reported it has completely liberated the entire region between the strategic cities of Al-Heet and Al-Baghdadi in the Western Iraqi province, .

They were able to liberate the region after setting free the strategic village of Al-Doulab from the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).

ISIL Crucifies Two Young Men in Syrian Raqqa

Witnesses: ISIL Crucifies Two Young Men in Syrian Raqqa

TEHRAN (FNA)- The ISIL terrorist group publicly crucified two young men in its stronghold city of Raqqa, reports citing eye-witnesses said.

Informed sources reported, citing witnesses in Raqqa, that ISIL terrorists forced the local residents to gather on the square, where the execution of the two accused of cooperating with the anti-ISIL forces was held, and observe the process.

ISIL terrorist group has had to resort to more brutal ways to fuel more fear inside or outside its occupied territories, as government forces have been retaking major cities and slowly pushing the terrorists back to a diminished territories.

Earlier this week, the ISIL terrorist group executed 21 members in the city of Raqqa on charges of fleeing the battlefield.

They were executed on charge of escaping battles against the Syrian government forces across the country,” the source said.

Last week, the ISIL terrorist group in Iraq, in a brutal arbitrary execution, locked the groups’ defectors in a freezer for a day and killed 45 fellow fighters in a warning to other potential defectors.

The ISIL fighters attempted to flee the battlefield during recent fights. They were executed by being locked in morgue freezers in Mosul for 24 hours, left for a slow, presumably agonizing death.

Their bodies, then, were reportedly stretched out along the sides of the road at city entrances as a warning to other fighters on the consequences waiting for possible defectors.

The city of Raqqa which is considered as self-proclaimed capital of the ISIL group, has been overrun by the group since 2013.

The Syrian army, as well as the Kurdish militias, are currently carrying out offensives to liberate the city and its nearby areas from ISIL.

Syria Seizes Large Cache of Terrorists' Weapons, Ammunition in Al-Lajat Plateau
TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian army carried out special operations inside the al-Lajat Plateau in Dara’a province, seizing a large supply of weapons and ammunition from the terrorists.

According to a military source, the Syrian soldiers seized grenades, RPGs, rifles and anti-aircraft machineguns from the Takfiri terrorists.

The source also said that the army operations in al-Lajat Plateau killed and wounded tens of militants.

In a relevant development in Dara’a on Wednesday, one of the main command centers of al-Nusra Front in the Southern neighborhoods of Dara’a city came under attack by the Syrian military forces and sustained major damage.

The Syrian soldiers, in a rapid attack, hit the al-Qaeda-affiliated al-Nusra Front’s command center in al-Bahhar neighborhood in Dara’a al-Balad, which not only claimed the lives of several terrorists, including their commanders, but also destroyed a major part of their center.

In the meantime, the army men carried out several coordinated but separate offensives against al-Nusra positions in al-Arbaeen and al-Karak neighborhoods and in al-Nazeheen Camp in Dara’a al-Balad, which ended in destruction of the terrorists’ military equipment, including rocket launchers.

One of the strongholds of al-Nusra in Manshiyeh neighborhood was targeted by the army, which inflicted major damages on the group’s ammunition stored in the stronghold.

Al-Nusra Front Urges Members to Rush to Lattakia

TEHRAN (FNA)- The al-Nusra Front terrorist group called on its members in different parts of the country to join their comrades in Lattakia, fearing a massive impending loss in war with the Syrian army and its allies.

The Syrian army backed by Desert Hawks Brigade and the National Defense Forces (NDF) launched special operations to recapture the last hilltops at Kabani in Lattakia province, killing and injuring a large number of Takfiri terrorists.

Their operations still continue in the region to break through al-Nusra Front defense lines and win back the hilltops.

The large-scale operations of pro-government forces forced the Takfiri terrorist group to send a large number of reinforcements to the Northeastern parts of Lattakia.

According to a military source, the al-Nusra Front received a significant number of fighters from the nearby Al-Ghaab Plains.

The Russian Defense Ministry announced on Wednesday that militants of the al-Nusra Front terrorist group have entered Northeastern regions of the Syrian province of Lattakia from Turkey.

“According to information received from civilians and opposition representatives, militants of al-Nusra terrorist grouping continue arriving in Northeastern regions of the Layttakia province from territory of Turkey,” the ministry said in a daily bulletin.

Earlier this week, the Russian ministry said the extremists were building up themselves in Lattakia’s Northeastern regions.

Syrian has been fighting terrorist groups since 2011, with forces loyal to the government of Syrian President Bashar Assad have gained significant ground in their fight against numerous extremist groups.
