Muqtada Al-Sadr threatens US forces participating in Mosul operations

Leader of Al-sadr Movement, Muqtada Al-Sadr, threatened to target US military troops that will participate in the offensive to retake the city of Mosul process.

Al-Sadr posted the comment on his official website after a follower asked for his response to the announcement of US Defence Secretary Ash Carter of deploying additional US troops to Iraq: “They are a target for us.”

Carter said earlier that US President, Barack Obama, has agreed to send additional US forces to provide logistical support to Iraqi forces for the retake of Mosul.

The official spokesman for the People’s Protection Units Redor Khalil said that “Erdogan is the head of terrorism through his support for brutal organizations to carry out his plans,”. Erdogan’s recent comments ahead of NATO regarding People’s protection Units YPG considering them terrorist organizations like ISIS and al-Qaeda ” for misleading public opinion,” he added.
