When you hear stories about thousands of innocent Pakistanis killed in US drone strikes, this is the aircraft in question. This is the aircraft people all over the Middle East have grown to fear as invariably, it’s appearance means someone is going to be n the receiving end of it’s missiles and bombs.
Obama dearly wanted to put an end to the drone strikes in Pakistan, but he has failed to do so due to political opposition, resulting in more than 6,000 deaths of innocent Pakistanis during his term in office. This order for 30 more Reaper drones is a clear signal that the US does not intend to curtail their use any time soon, with undoubtedly murderous repercussions .
The Reaper has become the assassination weapon of choice, terrorist leaders and others the US deems undesirable enough to warrant a Hellfire or Paveway dropped on them are targeted from the comfort of air conditioned bunkers in the US, a most impersonal, cold and calculating method of killing and one that has repeatedly been abused for political purposes.
