US Secretary of State John Kerry said recently at the Saban Forum, which is an annual meeting and dialogue between Israeli and American leaders, that the US gives over half of the BILLIONS in foreign aid it gives to the entire world to the tiny Jewish state of Israel. Kerry was complaining that in spite of giving Israel BILLIONS of US tax dollars every year, the Jewish state simply ignores the US when it asks Israel to stop expanding its Jewish settlements on Palestinian land. The interviewer, Jeffrey Goldberg, said to Kerry, “You’re describing a situation in which you have zero leverage.”
Kerry responded by saying he thinks the US does have leverage, but Israel refuses to listen to the US when it comes to creating new Jewish settlements on Palestinian lands. This is because Israel knows US politicians from both parties will not exercise the leverage the US does have over Israel. If they don’t use it, it becomes meaningless. The Jewish state knows it is free to continue the spread of daily Jewish religious violence via its brutal occupation.
It seems a key reason the US politicians do nothing and refuse to exercise the leverage they do have via withholding the foreign aid handouts to Israel until Israel pulls out of the Palestinian West Bank and Palestinian East Jerusalem, and why Israel continues to ignore its benefactor, the US, and continues to build more and more illegal Jewish settlements on Palestinian lands is because the US politicians don’t have a goal other than being reelected. Israel, on the other hand, is, to quote the Blue’s Brothers, “on a mission from gawd” to conquer all of that land for the Jewish state.
The Hebrew Bible/Old Testament, which was NOT written by God, but was written by ancient Jewish clergymen, clearly states that God gave all of that land, plus much more land, to the ancient Hebrews/Jews for their Jewish state. US politicians and millions of American Christians buy into this religious lie. One disgusting example is found in a resolution the politicians from both parties passed in South Carolina. It states in part:
Whereas, Israel has been granted her lands under and through the oldest recorded deed as reported in the Old Testament, a tome of scripture held sacred and reverenced by Jew and Christian, alike, as the acts and words of God; and
Whereas, as the Grantor of said lands, God stated to the Jewish people in the Old Testament; in Leviticus, Chapter 20, Verse 24: “Ye shall inherit their land, and I will give it unto you to possess it, a land that floweth with milk and honey”; and
Whereas, God has never rescinded his grant of said lands; …
South Carolina is just one of many US states that has such a nonsensical/anti-reason resolution like this for Israel. Basing US policy on ancient Jewish superstitions that clearly benefit the aggressive Jewish state of Israel, which is the only nation in the Middle East with real nuclear weapons of mass destruction and a growing fleet of high tech submarines which can deliver their nuclear payloads virtually anywhere on Earth, is a very dangerous and horrible reality.
One of the most powerful Zionist Christians in the US, John Hagee, has organized over three million Christians into Christians United For Israel. (Israeli PM and warmonger Netanyahu has said of CUFI, “I consider CUFI to be a vital part of Israel’s national security.”) We often like to make fun of Christian clergymen who make prophecies that never come true. HOWEVER, back in July of this year, Hagee predicted that pro-Israel evangelical Christians would “storm” US voting booths voting for Trump (Trump has promised to “cherish and protect” Israel). As we all now know, Hagee was correct.
We often hear of Islam requiring people it conquers to either pay a tax, convert to Islam or die. This is very true and very horrible. What many people are not aware of is that the original Abrahamic “revealed”/hearsay religion of Judaism does the same thing as Islam EXCEPT there is no opportunity to convert to Judaism. As Thomas Paine wrote in The Age of Reason, “The Jews made no converts; they butchered all.” The entire chapter 20 of Deuteronomy is of God allegedly telling the Hebrews/Jews how to deal with people they conquer in their conquest for world domination. God allegedly, according to the ancient Jews who wrote the Hebrew Bible/Old Testament, wanted the Jews to deal with local people they conquered differently than with the people they conquered in distant lands. Verses 10-15 cover people in far off lands that Israel conquers. They state:
When thou comest nigh unto a city to fight against it, then proclaim peace unto it. And it shall be, if it make thee answer of peace, and open unto thee, then it shall be, that all the people that is found therein shall be tributaries unto thee, and they shall serve thee. And if it will make no peace with thee, but will make war against thee, then thou shalt besiege it: And when the LORD thy God hath delivered it into thine hands, thou shalt smite every male thereof with the edge of the sword: But the women, and the little ones, and the cattle, and all that is in the city, even all the spoil thereof, shalt thou take unto thyself; and thou shalt eat the spoil of thine enemies, which the LORD thy God hath given thee. Thus shalt thou do unto all the cities which are very far off from thee, which are not of the cities of these nations.
Regarding the local people who God allegedly wanted the Jews to dispossess of their land, there is to be absolutely no mercy shown. Verses 16 and 17 read:
But of the cities of these people, which the LORD thy God doth give thee for an inheritance, thou shalt save alive nothing that breatheth: But thou shalt utterly destroy them; namely, the Hittites, and the Amorites, the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites; as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee:
Verse 18 reveals the true reason this genocide was commanded by the Jewish clergy: job security and power for the clergy. It states, “That they teach you not to do after all their abominations, which they have done unto their gods; so should ye sin against the LORD your God.” The Jewish clergy knew that if the Jewish people learned more about the religions of their neighbors, they ran the risk of losing them to the religions of their neighbors. This would put the Jewish clergy at risk of losing everything they had.
By giving Israel an endless supply of American tax payer dollars US politicians are allowing the Jewish state to continue its relentless religious violence against their neighbors which in turn spawns more religious violence and war. Living as we are in a nuclear age, we are running the risk of annihilation via nuclear war by allowing Israel to follow the ancient teachings of the Hebrew Bible/Old Testament. As Albert Einstein said:
The world that we have made as a result of the level of thinking that we have done so
far, has created problems we cannot solve at the level of thinking at which we created
them . . . . We shall require a substantially new manner of thinking if humankind is to
Deism is that new manner of thinking which our survival depends upon. It was instrumental in bringing about the American Revolution, and it can be instrumental in bringing about the revolution in religion promoted by the American founder and Deist Thomas Paine in his book on God, Deism and religion, The Age of Reason. All Deists need to DO all they possibly can to see to it that Deism gets a fair hearing.
Bob Johnson is a freelance writer in the Tampa area of Florida. He was raised Roman Catholic, but after a stint in Marine Corps infantry and reading Thomas Paine’s The Age of Reason he became a Deist.
In 1993 he founded the World Union of Deists, and in 1996 he launched the first website devoted to Deism. He is the author of God Gave Us Reason, Not Religion, Deism: A Revolution in Religion, A Revolution in You and An Answer to C.S. Lewis’ Mere Christianity. He has also written the introduction to Thomas Paine’s The Age of Reason, The Complete Edition and Principles of Nature by Elihu Palmer.
