Deborah Lipstadt

…by Jonas E. Alexis

Israel Shamir once argued that the Holocaust is in reality “an adaptation of the Jewish spiritual rule for Christian minds, as it replaces Christ with Israel, Golgotha with Auschwitz, and the Resurrection with the creation of the Jewish state.[1]

If you think this is far-fetched, then listen to Charles Krauthammer very carefully. He declared that it “has become increasingly common for American Jews to locate their identity in the Holocaust.”[2]

If your identity is located in the so-called Holocaust, then whenever a person does not emphasis the Holocaust too much,  you get paranoid. You’re likely to get depressed and inconsolable. And Krauthammer is not exempt from this depressing state.

“The Holocaust,” he wrote in the Washington Post last year, “forms an ineradicable element of my own Jewish consciousness.”[3] But Krauthammer, without sober thought, moved on to posit this implicit contradiction in the very next breath:

“But I worry about the balance. As Jewish practice, learning and knowledge diminish over time, my concern is that Holocaust memory is emerging as the dominant feature of Jewishness in America.

“I worry that a people with a 3,000-year history of creative genius, enriched by intimate relations with every culture from Paris to Patagonia, should be placing such weight on martyrdom — and indeed, for this generation, martyrdom once removed.”[4]

Well, Mr. Krauthammer, should you start deracinating this contested belief from your mind? If the Holocaust is an ineradicable element of your own Jewish consciousness, don’t you think that this foundational belief has detrimental consequences? Can you explain why we have not seen a single movie about Stalin’s genocide? How about movies on how the Red Army raped and slaughtered innocent Germans after World War II? Why should the so-called Holocaust be unique?

Moreover, wouldn’t Krauthammer even be more worried or paranoid if people in the Jewish community rise up and dump this religion? What if major universities such as Georgetown no longer provide at least $10 million for “Holocaust research”?[5] Wouldn’t that drive people like Krauthammer mad?

You see, the Holocaust is a new religion, with its own priesthood (Holocaust establishment) and dogmas.

If this seems outrageous, then just take a casual look at what has just happened a few days ago. The White House has just commemorated the Holocaust Remembrance Day, but Trump made a cardinal mistake by not mentioning Jews. Trump released a statement noting his “heavy heart and somber mind” to

“remember and honour the victims, survivors and heroes of the Holocaust. It is impossible to fully fathom the depravity and horror inflicted on innocent people by Nazi terror. Yet, we know that in the darkest hours of humanity, light shines the brightest. As we remember those who died, we are deeply grateful to those who risked their lives to save the innocent.”[6]

According to the received wisdom, Trump should have mentioned Jews because the statement implicitly leaves room for major historical scenarios such as Stalin’s genocide. For the Holocaust establishment, there is only one Holocaust that deserves respect and love and friendship. Nothing else will do.

Reza Aslan, the guy who has been intellectually pimping the system, declared: “This is not an accidental omission. He is generalizing the Holocaust the way the Iranian govt or Neo-Nazis do. There’s a purpose behind it.”[7]

Virtually all the major news outlets have somewhat chastised Trump for his political sin. USA Today entitled one of their articles: “Trump fails to mention Jews in Holocaust remembrance statement.”[8] The Washington Post: “Trump’s statement marking Holocaust remembrance leaves out mention of Jews.”[9] The Times of Israel: “Trump’s Holocaust day statement fails to mention Jews or anti-Semitism.”[10] The Jewish Daily Forward: “Trump Doesn’t Mention Jews in Holocaust Remembrance Day Message.”[11] The Guardian: “White House defends Trump Holocaust statement that didn’t mention Jews.”[12] The Independent: “Donald Trump does not mention Jews in Holocaust memorial statement.”[13] The Time: “White House Says It Deliberately Omitted Jews From Holocaust Remembrance Day Statement.”[14] And then this from the legendary Deborah Lipstadt: “The Trump Administration’s Flirtation With Holocaust Denial.”[15]

For Lipstadt, “Holocaust denial is alive and well in the highest offices of the United States. It is being spread by those in President Trump’s innermost circle… it may be a conscious attempt by people with anti-Semitic sympathies to rewrite history. Either way it is deeply disturbing.”[16]

Lisptadt has more interesting things to say: “The de-Judaization of the Holocaust, as exemplified by the White House statement, is what I term softcore Holocaust denial.”[17]

For Neocon John Podhoretz, son of Norman Podhoretz, the Holocaust is the alpha and omega, the beginning and the end, and no gods should be placed before it.

“The Final Solution,” Podhoretz has recently said, “was aimed solely at the Jews. The Holocaust was about the Jews. There is no ‘proud’ way to offer a remembrance of the Holocaust that does not reflect that simple, awful, world-historical fact. To universalize it to ‘all those who suffered’ is to scrub the Holocaust of its meaning.”[18]

When will these people stop insulting other people by either implicitly or explicitly ignoring what really happened? When will they be honest with the historical account? When will they tell the truth about why the Khazarian Mafia and their marionettes have been persecuted over the centuries? More importantly, when will they tell the world why persecutions broke out in the 1930s in places like Germany?
