Democrats forward bill to force Trump to remove Bannon from the National Security Council.

Trump and Bannon are very close.

[Editor’s note: Bannon has to go, VT has been saying that for weeks, with very good reason. The man is a turd, an absolute turd, a professional liar and spreader of bovine faecal matter who espouses the most disgusting white supremacist anti-Jew nonsense while at the same time, being on the payroll of and acting as a puppet of the right wing Zionist Jewish faction.

Bannon is Trump’s handler, the real power behind the throne, akin to how Dick Cheney was really in charge of things under Bush Jr. However, the big problem is that Bannon isn’t loyal to the US or it’s people, instead he serves a foreign master in the form of Benjamin Netanyahu and it is the Zionist agenda of Netanyahu that Bannon is trying to follow, hence we have seen him ordering disastrous raids on Yemen and the White House slavishly following the wishes of Israel and Saudi Arabia.

Bannon has to go, and go ASAP, he should take the orange buffoon-in-charge with him, before permanent damage is done to the USA. Ian]

Jerusalem Post

At least 14 Jewish Democrats are among the sponsors of a bill in the US House of Representatives that would force President Donald Trump to remove Stephen Bannon from the National Security Council.

Rep. Nita Lowey, D-N.Y., the ranking Democrat on the House Appropriations Committee and one of the co-sponsors, on Monday cited charges that Bannon has been associated with antisemitism as one of the reasons she is backing the bill.

“Let me be clear: Mr. #Bannon is woefully unqualified to serve as a White House official, let alone on the #NSC or the Principals Committee,” Lowey posted on Twitter. “As Chairman of Breitbart, Mr. Bannon espoused right-wing, antisemitic, & xenophobic views that aren’t in line with American values.”

Prior to joining Trump’s campaign last summer, Bannon, now Trump’s senior strategic advisor, headed Breitbart News, which he called a platform for the “alt-right,” a loose association of anti-establishment conservatives that has within its ranks antisemites as well as strident defenders of Israel.

The site itself is well known for its pro-Israel views – Bannon opened an Israel bureau in part to counter what he said was anti-Israel media bias – and for critical coverage of anti-Semitism in Europe and on US campuses, but tropes about Jewish control and inauthenticity have occasionally crept into its copy.

The site, which has taken a hawkish stance on immigration and border policies, has also at times featured articles that broadly generalize about Muslims, blacks, and Mexicans.

As of Monday, the congressional bill tracking website showed 113 co-sponsors, all of them Democrats, and 13 Jewish members out of the 20 Jewish Democrats in the House. Lowey did not yet appear on the list but announced her co-sponsorship on Twitter. With no Republicans backing it, the bill has little chance of advancing.

Other senior Jewish members co-sponsoring the bill include Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., the ranking member on the House Intelligence Committee; Rep. Eliot Engel, D-N.Y., the ranking member on the Foreign Affairs Committee; Rep. Steve Cohen, D-Tenn., a member of the House Democratic Steering and Policy Committee; Rep. Ted Deutch, D-Fla., the ranking member on the House Middle East subcommittee; and Rep. Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., who has taken the lead in his state in opposing Trump’s initiatives, particularly his travel ban on refugees and travelers from seven Muslim-majority countries.

Nadler and Deutch last month spearheaded a letter to Trump signed by 50 Democrats calling for Bannon’s ouster.

The bill, introduced by freshman Rep. Stephanie Murphy, D-Fla., says the president “may not designate any individual whose primary or predominant responsibility is political in nature to serve as a member of the Council.”

I am not a Bannon fan. But a good investigative article was published on him in the Washington Post entitled: How Bannon’s Navy service during the Iran hostage crisis shaped his views
By Michael Kranish and Craig Whitlock February 10 . The article interviews 25 of Bannon’s Navy associates at the time in 1980. It claims Bannon became disenchanted with Democrats because he blamed President Carter for the failure of the Hostage Rescue Mission when Carter had nothing to do with a bad luck unpredictable event in the field. Maybe Bannon thought Carter should have gone ahead with fewer helicopters instead of aborting the mission. The pictures in the article also show Bannon has gained weight since 37 years ago. Perhaps this weight gain has impaired his thinking abilities. Bannon ended up a Reagan worshiper.

Good for them. About time some opposition to this turd on two legs gets its own legs.
I agree with you Gordon. This idiot has to go. How anyone so unqualified has squirmed out from under a rock, leaving a slime trail behind him, managed to weasel his way into the White House, is enough to make anyone question their sanity.
Bannon? Really? From breitbart, no less or should I say no worse
Trump’s clown Posse would make for a good laugh if they weren’t so dangerously out of their minds.
