Trump Says You’re Fired to FBI Director Comey

… from Russia Today,  Moscow

FBI Director James Comey has been removed from office, the White House reports.

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein

[ Editor’s note: This firing came out of the blue, in what seems to be another shoot-from-the-hip Trump move, despite the organized cover from the Justice Department. Deputy Attorney General Rosenstein’s main focus on how Hillary’s email case was handled could only be described as bizarre, after Trump’s history of tweets supporting it.

Congressional Democrats saw the Hillary focus as a ruse to derail Comey’s looking into Trump’s Russian connections, which run long and deep, even if he cleaned house a bit before running for office.

Trump was hustling Russian oligarch money-laundering cash for his failing condo construction with as much fervor as Jared Kushner and his sister are now hustling rich Chinese for US immigration visas, via buying $500,000 condos in their New Jersey development concept.

There are already calls for a special prosecutor to proceed with the Trump-Russian connections, which will never happen. Trump did not put the fix in by taking Comey out, just to roll the dice with an independent prosecutor.

The biggest surprise for me in the flurry of comments on the quick-draw firing (Comey was notified while addressing FBI recruits in LA), was the FBI Agents Association asking to have a role in the selection of the new director, which has me wondering what they’ve been smoking. They are asking Trump to share power? Have they learned nothing about Mr. Reality TV?

The fallout from this could be a surprise to many, including Mr. Trump Jim W. Dean ]

“I know what you’re thinking, that I change my mind all the time, but this is really the last time”

– First published  …  May 09, 2017

US President Donald Trump made the decision “based on the clear recommendations” of Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and Attorney General Jeff Sessions, according to a White House statement.

“The FBI is one of our nation’s most cherished and respected institutions,” Trump said. “Today will mark a new beginning for our crown jewel of law enforcement.”

The search for his replacement will commence immediately.

Trump scolded Comey in a letter announcing his dismissal, stating, “You are not able to effectively lead” the FBI. As such, a change in leadership was necessary to rebuild trust between the White House and law enforcement.

“While I greatly appreciate you informing me, on three separate occasions, that I am not under investigation, I nevertheless concur with the judgement of the Department of Justice that you are not able to effectively lead the bureau,” Trump wrote in a letter to the former FBI director on Tuesday.

“I cannot defend the Director’s handling of the conclusion of the investigation of Secretary Clinton’s emails, and I do not understand his refusal to accept nearly universal judgment that he was mistaken,” Rosenstein said in his memorandum to the president on Tuesday, which provided the advice the White House said the president acted on.

According to Rosenstein, “the Director was wrong to usurp the Attorney General’s authority on July 5, 2016, and announce his conclusion that the case should be closed without prosecution.”

“Almost everyone agrees that the Director made serious mistakes; it is one of the few issues that unites people of diverse perspectives,” the deputy attorney general wrote. Essentially, it appears the DOJ assessed that Comey’s moves during the election season as they pertained to the election made him unfit for the position. “Compounding the error, the Director ignored another longstanding principle: we do not hold press conferences to release derogatory information about the subject of a declined criminal investigation,” Rosenstein said.

”The FBI is unlikely to regain public and congressional trust until it has a Director who understands the gravity of the mistakes and pledges never to repeat them,” a DOJ memorandum stated on Tuesday.

Scant hours earlier, the FBI had corrected part of Comey’s testimony after Comey appeared before the Senate Monday. Comey claimed that Huma Abedin, wife of sexting phenom and disgraced former Congressman Anthony Weiner, made a “regular practice” of sending thousands of classified emails to her husband. On Tuesday, FBI officials had to clarify Comey’s statement.

“Investigators ultimately determined that two email chains containing classified information were manually forwarded to Mr. Weiner’s account,” the FBI letter said. Many of the emails that landed on Weiner’s computers from Abedin were the result of incidental backup activity performed by the computer itself, not Clinton-aide Abedin.

The firing also, incidentally, occurs just days after Comey testified before Congress on alleged “Russian hacking” of the 2016 US presidential election.

In the past year, Comey’s reputation has been damaged, the Justice Department said. South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham joined in the disparagement, commenting, “given the recent controversies surrounding the director, I believe a fresh start will serve the FBI and the nation well.”

There will be a “full, fair, and timely confirmation process,” for Comey’s replacement, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said. Three officials told Reuters that the US intelligence community was not privy to knowledge of Trump’s decision before it happened.

Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe will take Comey’s place as Acting Director of the FBI until the Senate confirms someone new for the position.

  1. I fired James Comey because he told me three times, I was not under investigation for ties to the Russian mob. I fired James Comey because , look what he did to poor Hillary. Current replacement candidates, Yosemite Sam, a Sixpack of pit bulls, or a man only known as “Knuckles”. The winning candidate will immediately be implanted with a neural interface remotely controlled by ……..

  2. Everyone here is making one huge false assumption. You are all assuming that the FBI is a law enforcement agency that is actually trying to get the bad guys. The agency has pulled off one of the best ruse’s in history. One of the worlds largest organized criminal activities masquerading as one one of the worlds leading law enforcement agencies, brilliant! Of course the rank and file still think they are cops, but the higher ups know. The ones who won’t “turn” are quickly dumped, with the occasional honest one being made and example of.

    • Had there been a single true US patriot working in the FBI in 2001, the 9/11 would have never happened.

  3. J.Edgar Hoover survived so many Presidents because he kept devastating files on them. Comey either had nothing on Trump or was too stupid to collect anything.

  4. Or he could have a tragic and fatal car accident. Or a sudden heart attack. Or develop a sudden onslaught of an incurable form of cancer. Or have a tragic plane accident. Or just simply commit suicide by shooting himself in head a couple times.
All these scenarios are more than possible, they are quite likely to happen. We live in dangerous times now. Reporters and whistle blowers are murdered, people are arrested for laughing at a politician and the press is nothing more than a mouth piece for the ruling junta. The Attorney General tosses away the Bill of Rights in favor of a police state and a President who fills his cabinet with his own family.
    Jezus K. Rist!

  5. “The FBI is one of our nation’s most cherished and respected institutions,” Trump said.”Today will mark a new beginning for our crown jewel of law enforcement.”
That statement is enough to make anyone want to gag. The FBI should have been disbanded decades ago. In truth it never should have been created along with the CIA , both are more criminal than ever. Gangsters.
How about that? A gangster firing another gangster.
This administration is out to destroy what rights we have left and Trump along with his little jooish sidekick Kushner plans to turn America into something that more closely resembles Italy during Mussolini’s reign of terror.
The Nixon Administration seems like a mild dust up compared to what’s coming with this current one. Trump may very well not make it to the end and as happened in the Nixon gang, a lot of his co-conspirators are going to end up like Mitchell and Agnew.
    Haldeman, Erlichman, Mitchel and Dean
It follows a pattern if you know what I mean.

  6. Someone in the Deep State is cleaning up, gathering new useful and obedient rats, possibly as preparations for staging another major false flag.

    • What was that littler exercise in Manhattan a few weeks ago all about? They don’t hold drills unless there is actually going to be an incident.
The beasts have taken over America and the rest of the world shudders.

  7. Comey would also have been able to read all the internal FBI reports on all the false flag events from 9/11 to Boston Bombing and all the rest. If he decides to spill the beans he could become very rich possibly even than Obama. It is almost as if Trump is deliberately provoking Comey to do exactly this and indeed this could be the smoking gun of this firing. But don’t hold your breath until the book is published.
