[Editor’s note: This is a major development of great significance. Al-Tanf and the border crossing just to the south were vitally important strategic positions as this was the supply route used by Israel and the US to funnel supplies and personnel into Syria. The importance of this supply lifeline for ISIS was made all too clear when the US sent ground forces into Syria from Jordan in order to fight alongside ISIS in defending Al-Tanf from the advance of the Syrian Army; the USAF even acted as a de facto ISIS airforce by carrying out airstrikes on the Syrian army, an incident that strained US-Russian relations.

Now, the US appears to be pulling out of Al-Tanf, a big clue to suggest that finally, the Syrian war is entering its final phase as ISIS and the other terrorist mercenary groups including the so-called ‘rebels’ are being defeated all across the country. In recent days, thousands of fighters have surrendered and handed in their weapons to the Syrian Army, while the Syrians and their allies continue to crush pockets of resistance all over the country, particularly in Eastern Ghouta and along the Lebanese border.

It very much looks like the Syrian war will be over in the near future and it will see a complete victory for the Syrians, at the same time, Iraq is close to winning its own war against terrorist mercenaries. However, because this particular conflict in Syria and Iraq is drawing close to it’s eventual end, we must keep a close watch on other conflict zones, in particular North Korea and to a lesser extent Afghanistan, the Philippines and Ukraine too as there is sure to be a new eruption of war fighting somewhere.

The military-industrial-corporate-banking complex needs to keep selling weapons to keep the profits rolling in and the criminals Netanyahu and Trump need to find potent distractions from the investigations dogging both of them. War provides both profit and distraction, hence the criminal elite love war and their minions like Lyndsey Graham will continue to spout ever more belligerent rhetoric in the directing of Pyongyang. Ian]

Arab Daily Reveals US-Russia Agreement on Al-Tanf Base in Syria

A leading Arab newspaper reported that Washington and Moscow are in talks to make an agreement to deliver the control of al-Tanf military base in Syria near the border with Iraq to the Russian forces.

“Preliminary talks are underway for a major agreement between Russia and the US to withdraw the American forces from al-Tanf and deliver its control to Russia,” al-Akhbar reported on Wednesday.

According to the report, the talks came after several members of Jeish Maqawir al-Thowra terrorist group affiliated to the Free Army Syrian Army (FSA) defected the US forces in al-Tanf.

Al-Akhbar said that the al-Thawra terrorists decided to leave al-Tanf after they were informed of the US-Russia possible agreement and the Syrian army’s massive operations to free the Northern parts of Sweida province, adding that a number of them have surrendered to the Syrian troops.

Sources affiliated to terrorist groups disclosed on Wednesday that another group of al-Thawra gunmen and backed by the US army surrendered to the Syrian Army troops in al-Tanf region in Southern Homs.

The sources said that a group of al-Thowrah terrorists has fled its positions in al-Tanf region and surrendered to the Syrian Army troops with their arms and military equipment.

In the meantime, a Syrian army commander said that several groups of Jeish Maqawir al-Thowrah terrorists have handed over their weapons and military hardware to the army men after they surrendered.

Also, some unofficial sources reported that the US Army has decided to leave al-Tanf base and given a 24-hour ultimatum to its militant allies to hand over their weapons.

Relevant reports said on Saturday that a 31-member group of FSA-affiliated militants defected the FSA and moved towards regions controlled by the Syrian Army troops in Southern Homs.

The sources said that one of the commanders of Jeish Maqawir al-Thowrah in Syria’s Badiyeh (desert) nom de guerre Haws al-Forati along with 30 of his forces fled the militant-held regions towards areas surrounding the army-controlled al-Tanf region.

The fleeing militants took a number of weapons, vehicles and munitions with them while fleeing.
