US warns Iran of ‘strongest sanctions in history’

by Jim W. Dean, …with Press TV, Tehran

Captain Pompeo now views himself as Emperor Pompeo, thanks to Donald Trump

[ Editor’s NotePompeo the Pompous is leading the Unipolar Neocon charge on who is going to decide what rights countries have. The new simple answer to that question is, “The ones that the US approves of”.

Note how easily Pompeo did away with Iran’s right to civilian nuclear power, simply by adding it to his demands list of what Iran had to give up to avoid new sanctions. He did this with no legitimate legal basis whatsoever.

His feigned concern for the common people of Iran, however, did not extend to the Yemenis or Syrians who have been devastated by the US Coalition proxy terror war. All the nasty things that Pompeo charged Iran with yesterday, he knew as former CIA director that it was the US who has been doing it all.

I cannot think of a quicker way to undermine any credibility he planned to have as Secretary of State than his ridiculous and vainglorious performance yesterday, and hence my satirical framing him as a Roman Emperor as Pompeo the Pompous.

We now have to see how much opposition to this insanity percolates up from the heartland to hook up with those in the Obama administration who invested years of public service into hammering out a difficult but fruitful resolution in the JCPOA Jim W. Dean ]

  1. My impression is he has aspirations to see “I Like Mike” buttons, during the 2020 or 2024 presidential election. More usurper than diplomat, he personifies the growing dystopian atmosphere and flies in the face of everything we pretend to teach our children in our compulsory skuuls.
The most important thing he blames on Iran , but does himself, is to bear the flag of religious zealotry in a march of pious arrogance. The demeanor seems to accept dystopia as a foregone conclusion.
In our legacy as a country, our best sense of self is inclusiveness. But by morphing inclusiveness to coddling, we have emboldened religious zealots who will seek to normalize insanity, based on the whimsical rantings of a few millionaire preachers. The funding of terrorism.
