When we see men and women in military uniforms, many of us want to walk up and thank them for devoting their lives to preserve our freedom. Several national chains are doing just that by offering veterans big freebies for Veterans Day and beyond.
  • Golden Corral, the nation’s #1 grill buffet franchise, is offering veterans a free beverage and buffet meal on Monday, November 12 from 5-9 p.m.
  • sweetFrog Premium Frozen Yogurt, the nation’s leading frozen yogurt chain, is providing a free 12 oz. frozen yogurt on Sunday, November 11 to all veterans and active duty personnel with a valid military ID.
  • Scooter’s Coffee will offer a free drink, any size, for veterans and current military personnel with valid military identificationon Sunday, November 11.
  • Kolache Factory will offer a free kolache and a free coffee to all veteran and active military with government-issued military photo ID on Sunday, November 11.
  • American Family Care (AFC), the nation’s leading provider of urgent care, accessible primary care, and occupational medicine, will provide free flu shots to veterans with a valid military ID on Sunday, November 11.
Golden Corral Hosts Military Appreciation Night
Golden Corral, the nation’s #1 grill buffet franchise, will thank thousands of active-duty and retired U.S. military personnel for their service with a free dinner buffet and beverage, while raising donations for the Disabled American Veterans (DAV).  At all its restaurants nationwide, Golden Corral will serve free dinner buffets with beverage from 5PM to 9PM on Monday, Nov. 12 to any person who is serving or has served in a United States Military branch, including the National Guard and Reserves – identification is not required.
sweetFrog Gives Veterans a Free Frozen Yogurt
On Sunday, November 11, sweetFrog Premium Frozen Yogurt, the nation’s leading frozen yogurt chain, will provide a free 12 oz. frozen yogurt on Sunday, November 11 to all veterans and active duty personnel with a valid military ID.
Scooter’s Coffee Gives a Free Drink to Veterans
Scooter’s Coffee, a Midwest-based coffee franchise, will offer a free drink of any size to veterans and current military personnel with valid military identification on Sunday, November 11.  Stores will also be taking donations for Wounded Warriors Family Support, November 11-12.
Kolache Factory Thanks Veterans with a Free Kolache and Drink
Kolache Factory, the largest specialty kolache bakery in the world, will offer a free kolache (any kind) and a free coffee (any size) at all its locations to all veteran and active military with government-issued military photo ID on Sunday, November 11. (Croissants and Polish varieties excluded).
American Family Care Free Flu Shots for Veterans
American Family Care (AFC), the nation’s leading provider of urgent care, accessible primary care, and occupational medicine, will offer military veterans free flu shots on Veterans Day, Sunday, November 11. Veterans interested in obtaining a free flu shot are encouraged to visit AFCUrgentCare.com to find the nearest American Family Care clinic.

Biography
Carol graduated from Riverside White Cross School of Nursing in Columbus, Ohio and received her diploma as a registered nurse. She attended Bowling Green State University where she received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and Literature. She attended the University of Toledo, College of Nursing, and received a Master’s of Nursing Science Degree as an Educator.

She has traveled extensively, is a photographer, and writes on medical issues. Carol has three children RJ, Katherine, and Stephen – one daughter-in-law; Katie – two granddaughters; Isabella Marianna and Zoe Olivia – and one grandson, Alexander Paul. She also shares her life with husband Gordon Duff, many cats, and two rescue pups.
