  1. One of the loudest Rock bands ever, measured at 120db @100 meters. Pete’s stack of Hiwatts and Entwhistles ‘the OX” stack of Sunn bass amps provided some of the loudest music ever.
The Who’s live version of Won’t Get Fooled Again is what Rock music is all about. Today’s bands have absolutely nothing on the Who.
    We don’t get fooled again!

  2. Lifehouse Project, the one that Pete Townsend perhaps never got finalized. In my opinion the best and the most high flying Rock compliation (n)ever made. Not just Who’s Next album, but there’s lots of material more like Join Together, Relay, Pure and Easy etc. that was supposet to be in the Lifehouse. The Who doesn’t hide anything, like great bands as Genesis hides behind complicated rhythms (Supper’s Ready for example), Pink Floyd behind mental problems and Yes behind complete weirdom in their music.

    • The problem Pink Floyd had was with Sid Barret. A mental case to begin with but only worsened, taking drugs didn’t help either.
I still wonder what Jimi Hendrix would have been capable of if he headn’t been murdered.
Jim Morrison , Janis Joplin, Brian Jones, John Lennon, gone but not forgotten.
Duane & Greg Allman/ Barry Oakley/ Butch Trucks…the back bone of one of the greatest bands to come out of the states.
      We have their recordings.
      ‘ And memories.

  3. The 20th of this month was the anniversary of Scot Halpin playing drums after Keith Moon passed out. He played for three songs in a live concert at the Cow Palace. Talk about right place right time.
