WASHINGTON, DC – November 29, 2018 – The Disabled Veterans National Foundation (DVNF) Foundation supports the Department of Veterans Affairs statement to fully refund veterans affected by the implementation of the Forever G.I. Bill Law.

“Veterans have earned their G.I. Bill benefits, and the VA has promised to fully refund those veterans who were shorted due to computer errors,” said Joseph VanFonda, DVNF CEO. “For many of these veterans, the housing stipend they earned can be the difference in paying their rent and living on the streets. We encourage VA officials to make right by America’s veterans.”

A 2014 Veteran’s Report showed more than 750,000 veterans were currently using the G.I. Bill, while other VA reports indicate as many as 40,000 veterans are homeless each day in America. The VA and Congress must continue to make veterans a priority.
