Rolling Coverage: Press TV’s detained anchor has appeared in court twice for testimony

[ Editor’s Note: Press TV is pushing this story hard to build international attention if the Justice Department does bring a foreign registration case against it.
If so there will be a strong smell of the Bolton and Bibi crowd twisting Trump’s arm to crank this up now to keep Iran as a boogie man threat in the public eye.
If that happens it will give us the best shot in years to get the spotlight back onto the rampant Israeli espionage here, why our own security orgs have been waived off doing any more than “monitoring” and “blocking” their efforts, but with the unsaid but clear understanding that no prosecution of Israel will take place.
Why? That is simple. On the macro scale Israel has the US in a blackmail situation over the things it has done in conjunction with Israel and would prefer to not let US citizens know.
On a micro level Israel could start targeting a whole list of US personalities, in and out of government, through well placed media leaks, or data dumps via a Wikileaks clone with a deluge of scandals.
Frankly, such a house cleaning is sorely needed, and no matter what the cost in embarrassment and shame to the US government, that would be way less than the damage to the rest of us if it is allowed to continue like it has.
With Israel basically allowed to run operations here maybe this Hashemi case has lit the fuse to blow that all up, and might be known historically some day as “Hashemi’s revenge … Jim W. Dean ]

This story is getting more international coverage, despite US media seeming to know little or nothing about it, giving the appearance that it has been waived off. Imagine that.
Somebody, or somebodies out there are now wondering if they are the target, and why, including a lot of people who have not really done anything improper, as claims can be made against you purely from “associations”.

When I first saw Ms. Hashemi interviewing the Duffster on Press TV, it gave me pause. WHAT! no skinny blonde with red lipstick giving the News. Really gave me a reason to listen to what was being said. She was excellent.
Everyone from Iran are ‘a priori’ evil, who can reason with that? Last one who tried registering AIPAC as foreign agent got himself hunted all over Dallas by assassins, with a personal vendetta against his family, Coppola style (everyone needs to be killed like the old Sicilian olive-oil capo requires). The media battle will go down quietly, sadly again, however more and more selfcritical english based channels are springing, cctv, rt, presstv etc., expecting full wake up call after the internet born generation starts sitting on boards of directors and media houses. There was a meme circling, it goes, if the news is fake imagine how bad history is.
