The Veterans Procurement Resource Expo, sponsored by the New Jersey Small Business Development Center at Ramapo College of New Jersey, is a networking and educational event that will focus on veteran-owned businesses.
The exhibitors will be government agencies, prime contractors, banks and other firms.
Vincent Vicari, regional director of the center, observed that attendees can get their businesses exposed to government agencies looking for your products and services. “They will also learn the ropes of government contracting, meet and network with resources that can take your business to a higher level,” Vicari said.
Veterans will also have the opportunity to discuss funding possibilities with financial participants.
Among the speakers and official representatives will be: Janice Bracey and Paula Miller, General Services Administration (GSA); Lin Simeti, Rockland Economic Development Corporation PTAC; Raul Mercado, NJIT Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC); Ken Williams, Office of General Services, and others.
The expo will be held in partnership with the Small Business Administration and in collaboration with the Procurement Technical Assistance Center of the New Jersey Institute of Technology, Rockland Economic Development Corp., and the Procurement Technical Assistance Centers (PTAC). Other relevant officials are also expected to be in attendance. The event is sponsored in part by the New York Giants and others.
