Sputnik/Moscow: The US president’s comments come as Democratic presidential hopeful and former Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg has risen to second place in his party’s nomination race, following Senator Bernie Sanders in Tuesday’s New Hampshire primary.

US President Donald Trump on Thursday during an interview on Fox News’s “Roadkill With Geraldo” podcast said by phone that he would give his voice to a gay presidential candidate.

In response to the host’s question of whether Americans would “vote for a gay man to be president”, referring to the openly gay Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg, Trump said, “I think so”.

“I think there would be some that wouldn’t, and I wouldn’t be among that group, to be honest with you,” the president stated.

“I think that, yes, I think that it doesn’t seem to be hurting Pete Boot-edge-edge as you say, as you would call him. It doesn’t seem to be hurting him very much but … there would be a group that probably wouldn’t. But you or I wouldn’t be in that group”.

Former mayor Pete Buttigieg joined the 2020 presidential race as the first gay man to run for president in the nation’s history. He is now one of the tops candidates in the Democratic Party’s primary race, after his recent victory in the caucuses in Iowa and a second-place finish in the New Hampshire primary.

According to a 2019 Gallup poll, 76 percent of Americans agreed that they would be ready to vote for a gay man to be the president of the United States.

  1. “Mormon leaders have acknowledged for the first time that the church’s founder and prophet, Joseph Smith, portrayed in church materials as a loyal partner to his loving spouse Emma, took as many as 40 wives, some already married and one only 14 years old.” Brigham Young had 55 wives. Were any males? What are the whores in Congress waiting for? Legalize Bigamy and Polygamy so Joseph Smith and Brigham Young can have the last laugh from their graves. Also legalize brothels everywhere in the country. Isn’t this what they do in Saudi Arabia? Just imagine every man wasting all day thinking about which wife or wives to screw tonight? They couldn’t even remember the names of their kids. Isn’t this all going on anyway 24/7?

  2. Yeah whatever. Maybe they could paint the Whitehouse pink. Personally I’m voting for Mark Charles and I really don’t give a damn about the Republican and Democratic freak show anymore.
