Tone Deaf Melania: Harping on Kids ‘Online Safety’ as Hundred Die from Hubbie’s Incompetence

Doctors are writing up their own wills, patients are lining up outside of New York hospitals and being treated in parking lots, and a record 3.3 million people just filed for unemployment, but what are your kids doing on social media, America? That’s what the first lady wants to know.

Melania Trump fired off a staggeringly tone-deaf tweet Thursday morning, stating “While most children are at home during this challenging time, they tend to be on social media throughout the day. Parents, please be sure to check on them regularly to be sure they’re practicing online safety.”

Kids across the country are out of school until further notice as a result of the deadly coronavirus pandemic, leaving parents in the lurch for childcare. Her post came a day after her husband—the president—mocked Sen. Mitt Romney as his coronavirus test came back negative.

  1. c’mon vt, child online safety is not to be chucked in favor of bunches of co-morbids who’ve for years made bad choices about their own personal health maintenance; choosing instead one more bottle of wine, women and a fourth candy bar. especially when our younger generations hold the long term economic and mental health of our nation in their hands: gdp productivity to support a decent standard of living, and quality and affordable educations for all to support new industry and good public policy formations. one must ask the obvious question, when thinking about the payday student loan crisis, “how is it that the boomer generation foisted this outrageous and immoral burden on their children and grandchildren, that they refused to petition mommy gu’ment to outlaw such predatory practices of unforgiveable student loans?” especially when such investment in the education of the young generation drives the nation’s gdp, which gdp must track debt to keep inflation under control. let the co-morbid-ridden oldsters die. it comes muchly deserved.
