The Coronavirus pandemic continues to cause mayhem in the US as 562 more people have lost their lives to the virus in the State of New York since Thursday raising the state’s overall toll to nearly 3-thousand. Nation-wide toll is now over 61-hundred. The total number of confirmed infections has exceeded quarter of a million. New York Governor Cuomo has appealed for help warning that the State is in crisis and it has enough ventilators for six days only. As the Trump administration has come under fire from some medical staff as well as democrats for belittling the deadly virus, Vice President Mike Pence blamed “the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention” and China when he was asked why the US was so late in understanding the enormity of the coronavirus pandemic. In the meantime, nearly 10 million Americans have applied for unemployment benefits in the past two weeks as layoffs continue to accelerate amid the pandemic.
