David Icke – Disinfo Agent or Just an Idiot?

[Editor’s note: As a Briton, I well remember David Icke’s transformation from BBC sports broadcaster to bat-shit crazy, turquoise-clad ‘Son of the Godhead’. Back then he was a harmless laughing stock, but over the last 30 years, he has made a lot of money selling his particular brand of conspiracy nonsense.

Well David I hope all that money you’ve made charging three-figure sums for a ticket to see you spew utter shite for hours to gullible morons all over the world goes some way to salving your conscience because with this latest prime lump of bovine excrement, you have earned yourself my utter contempt.

People are dying, I myself, along with both my parents are very ill with the coronavirus, a friend’s father died from it last week. Yet Icke brazenly lies as he spreads the frankly ludicrous 5G-coronavirus conspiracy nonsense, a theory so absurdly unfounded it should be filed away with the earth is flat and nuclear weapons don’t exist. There isn’t a single 5G mast within 100 miles of where I live yet people are ill with the virus and some are dying from it, but Icke doesn’t let simple facts get in the way of his lies.

So is Icke a deliberate disinfo agent or just a fucking moron? I don’t really care, I just wish he would show even the slightest respect for the millions of people infected with the virus and refrain from playing a part in the incredibly unhelpful and downright dangerous nonsense about 5G and coronavirus.

The fact that the whole anti-5G conspiracy was initiated and the theory promulgated by disinfo assets of the US in order to demonise a new technology that is going to revolutionise global telecom and has been developed by the Chinese suggests that Icke may well have been paid to spread the theory.

The US has lost so much of its telecom and electronics industries and fallen so far behind in many areas of technology that it is cynically attempting to slow down or even halt the rollout of 5G because the US has no 5G technology of its own and if the world adopts Chinese 5G equipment, the US will be swiftly left so far behind that it may never catch up and the future of telecom will belong to China. Coronavirus: YouTube tightens rules after David Icke 5G interview

YouTube has banned all conspiracy theory videos falsely linking coronavirus symptoms to 5G networks.

The Google-owned service will now delete videos violating the policy. It had previously limited itself to reducing the frequency it recommended them in its Up Next section.

The move follows a live-streamed interview with conspiracy theorist David Icke on Monday, in which he had linked the technology to the pandemic.

YouTube said the video would be wiped.

During the interview, Icke falsely claimed there “is a link between 5G and this health crisis”.

And when asked for his reaction to reports of 5G masts being set on fire in England and Northern Ireland, he responded: “If 5G continues and reaches where they want to take it, human life as we know it is over… so people have to make a decision.”

Several users subsequently called for further attacks on 5G towers in the comments that appeared alongside the feed.

Icke also falsely claimed that a coronavirus vaccine, when one is developed, will include “nanotechnology microchips” that would allow humans to be controlled. He added that Bill Gates – who is helping fund Covid-19 vaccine research – should be jailed. His views went unchallenged for much of the two-and-a-half-hour show.
Policy violation

The interview was watched by about 65,000 people as it was streamed, some of whom clicked an on-screen button to trigger payments to make their live chat reactions stand out.

YouTube only deleted the content after the session had ended, despite being aware of the broadcast while it was ongoing.

It changed its rules after the BBC asked why it had not taken action earlier.

“We have clear policies that prohibit videos promoting medically unsubstantiated methods to prevent the coronavirus in place of seeking medical treatment, and we quickly remove videos violating these policies when flagged to us,” a spokeswoman for YouTube told the BBC.

“Now any content that disputes the existence or transmission of Covid-19, as described by the WHO [World Health Organization] and local health authorities is in violation of YouTube policies.

“This includes conspiracy theories which claim that the symptoms are caused by 5G.

“For borderline content that could misinform users in harmful ways, we reduce recommendations. We’ll continue to evaluate the impact of these videos on communities around the world.”

Users who repeatedly break the rules now face being prevented from being able to use YouTube’s Live tool.

The firm may also prevent repeat offenders from earning money, and said it would terminate channels as a last resort.

In this case, YouTube is allowing the interview’s host to keep earnings generated via the Super Chats tool while the video was still online.

But it is giving its own cut of the proceeds to charity and has put the channel involved under review.

WhatsApp restriction

YouTube’s rules update coincides with new restrictions on WhatsApp.

WhatsApp is taking action to slow the spread of misinformation on its network

Facebook’s app is limiting users to only being able to forward a message to one chat at a time if the same post has already been shared five or more times by the wider community. Such posts are labeled with double arrows to make their status known.

Previously, the app had limited such messages to being forwarded to five different chats at once – a limit it had first introduced in 2018 to combat the spread of disinformation in India.

We’ve recently seen a significant increase in the amount of forwarding, which users have told us can feel overwhelming and can contribute to the spread of misinformation,” it said, explaining the latest move.

“We believe it’s important to slow the spread of these messages down to keep WhatsApp a place for a personal conversation.”

Unfounded theories

Conspiracy theories linking 5G signals to the coronavirus pandemic continue to spread despite there being no evidence the mobile phone signals pose a health risk.

Fact-checking charity Full Fact has linked the claims to two flawed theories.

Vodafone and Three have reported attacks on their telecoms equipment over recent days

One falsely suggests 5G suppresses the immune system, the other falsely claims the virus is somehow using the network’s radio waves to communicate and pick victims, accelerating its spread.

While 5G uses different radio frequencies to its predecessors, it’s important to recognize that the waveband involved is still “non-ionising”, meaning it lacks enough energy to break apart chemical bonds in the DNA in our cells to cause damage.

Earlier this year, scientists at the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection completed a major study of related research into the topic.

While it recommended slightly tighter limits on the transmitting capabilities of handsets themselves to minimize any chance of damage caused by human tissue being heated, its key finding was that there was no evidence that either 5G networks or earlier systems could cause cancer or other kinds of illness.

The second theory appears to be based on the work of a Nobel Prize-winning biologist who suggested bacteria could generate radio waves.

But this remains a controversial idea and well outside mainstream scientific thought. In any case, Covid-19 is a virus rather than bacteria.

There’s another major flaw with both these theories. Coronavirus is spreading in UK cities where 5G has yet to be deployed, and in countries like Japan and Iran that have yet to adopt the technology.

  1. I never liked Icke’s “Lizard people” and alien theories. Years on, he tried to change all that to fit in with the current NWO control. He still lacks the courage to put a name on the “elite” tribe!

    • Thankyou, we are on the mend, thankfully. Sadly I now know of 3 virus deaths in my little town of about 6000 souls. Two were elderly and had existing health issues, the third was about 50 and had lifelong health issues including mental retardation. So it’s all very real, sad to say. You’re right about the 40s being where all that started, if you look at all the early UFO ‘contactees’ be it Kenneth Arnold or George Adamski or Betty & Barney Hill, they all hade ties to military intelligence. Personally, I think aliens contacted the US in 46-47 and then a craft came down near Roswell and the military realised they needed to run a disinfo campaign to hide the truth. Hence all the fakes and frauds that began within a short time after Roswell.

    • Well, I’m in the camp of “no aliens ever” but have been watching the UFO phenomenon since childhood. Those are real, but all the alien stuff is baloney.

  2. I would love to see a Ian Greenhalgh and David Icke discussion on Utube. I agree on many fronts what you both say. Would be great to see who wins the most punches. One can only wish I guess

  3. David Icke is a brave and sincere man. He is one of the few in the world standing in stage and telling zios who they are, open publicly. No one can be right on everything. I listening to him since many years. Things which many are familiar now with, David predicted decades ago. VT has more bizarre articles then him. Shrimptons DVD, Jack Hearts lovely Aleister Crowley being a Saint, Khadirs Taliban throat cutters being freedom fighters, David Steeles best president Trump or his Corona being a fake pandemic, VTs “expertise” on all vaccines are good. What about Al-Sisi butcher of Egypt being hero by Ezat. Or Muslim brothers running the world by Giuseppe.

    • Icke is neither brave nor sincere, he is a well paid actor and disinfo agent. Shrimpton is a lunatic with a fetish for Israel, Jack Heart is on some other plane of reality, RDS has some bizarre belief Trump can be advised into acting like a human being and Giuseppe is a delusional religious nutjob. You see, I’m not like them, I give you the straight truth in plain words and don’t care if it offends people or not because the truth is the truth and I didn’t get involved in VT to do anything other than my level best to disseminate the truth as best as I can using the analytical skills I have been taught. I know my approach won’t win me any popularity contests or have radio and TV shows clamouring for my appearances, but for me, none of that matters, at the end of the day, what matters to me is that when I die I can say to myself ‘well, you did your bit to try to change things for the better’. Icke, on the other hand, has spent 30 years deceiving people for profit so he will never have a clear conscience and will never be able to say he did anything for good or moral reasons. Clearly his moral stance is diametrically opposed to mine.

    • Ian: Using that logic, the same could be said about the publicity given to the Corona Virus. With all due respect, looking at your ad hominem attacks on all and sundry, it might be assumed that you are also a disinfo agent. You should perhaps refrain from all the virtue signalling you are doing. It diminishes your credibility. We should all keep in mind the old Russian proverb: When the bear has your leg in its mouth – then you know it to be true.

    • It’s not all and sundry, it’s those who deserve it because they are paid trolls and liars. I don’t mince my words when describing such sorry excuses for human beings.

  4. Icke is far more intelligent and perspicacious than you will ever hope to be. Citizen journalists all over the country are exposing the phenomenon of empty beds just waiting for the wave of Coronavirus victims that never seem to arrive. I respect Gordon, but he is wrong on certain key points, like his endorsement of vaccines which are well known to be chock full of poisons and far deadlier than any diseases they purport to prevent. Speaking of which, it is my sincerest wish that you are the first in line to receive scumbags Fauci & Gates’s Covid-19 vaccine. If you think you are sick now, you ain’t seen nothing’ yet.

    • Cheers Thomas. I agree that there should be a reasonable, rational level of caution. I have looked at several of the 5G theorists, Barrie Trower and Thomas Bearden primarily, and they just aren’t credible at all, Bearden especially, is a habitual bullshitter. I ran his zero point energy stuff past VT’s scientific experts at Sandia Labs, the same fellas who helped me write the 9-11 nuclear series, and they laughed at it, just nonsense with no basis in science at all. Just a quick overview of some of Bearden’s theories should be enough for most people to grasp he’s not on the level. So while I, as always, retain an open mind, I can only analyse what information I can find and so far, the criticism is invariably coming from bad sources like Bearden. If I find a veritably reliable source saying the same things about 5G I will pay attention and report on it, but don’t hold your breath, the legit guys are not going further than being a little cautious abut possible health effects.

  5. Ian: Damn man! I hope you are well very soon, and your parents as well. As Michele Foucault wrote (The Order of Things), “There is no truth with a capital T. There are only those truths which circulate.” A warning to keep oneself from simply swallowing a lot of cods wallop! Got my fingers crossed for you and your parents speedy recovery.

  6. I do not care if Ian Greenhalgh thinks David Icke is a nut. I am disappointed that Ian Greenhalgh does not stand up for his right to say whatever he wants – and my right to listen if I feel like it. This is free speech. Any person who does not wish to listen to David Icke can “turn it off”.

  7. Hi Ian, sorry you’re not well, praying for your quick recovery.

Undoubtedly the 5g coronavirus link has been grossly exaggerated, but that doesn’t mean EMF is harmless, as the corporations and governments invested in it have been mendaciously claiming for more than half a century. There is overwhelming scientific evidence of massive harm from EMF. Many people including my own cousin are made so sick by EMF from pre-5g sources that they can only survive by moving to “white zones” where there are no cell towers or radio/TV towers. They also have to be very careful about how their house and appliances are wired and set up. (Don’t sleep near the refrigerator or fuse box, etc.; don’t use computers except for very brief periods; don’t have cell phones; etc.) The rest of us are also being sickened by EMF but at a lower level that we don’t notice….though pretty much everybody who lives near high power transmission lines does suffer noticeable ill effects.

This is one of the many reasons that I will never have any kind of portable phone.

It remains to be seen whether 5g will make this terrible situation even worse. Given the precautionary principle, I think it makes perfect sense to not only fight against 5g but all cell towers. Who needs robotized appliances anyway? And who in their right mind would want to carry a personal tracking device that can also make phone calls? How can anyone get anything done when they are liable to be interrupted at any moment? Who would want to spend half their lives staring at a tiny little screen and trying to poke tiny little buttons to spell out trivial responses to trivial messages?!!

Most post-19th-century technology has made life worse not better. 5g looks to do that in spades.

  8. 5G causing disease and death is not nonsense. Check out, “The Invisible Rainbow” by Arthur Firstenberg. The author is a scientist who makes an irrefutable case for the correlation between electrical pollution, radiation, disease, and death. Further, David Icke, regardless of what anyone thinks of him personally, is right on about the Covid-19 hoax. Just cross check what he says from other, verifiable sources. Icke confirms his contentions with quotes from the major, visible players in this psy-op. Human slime, like Fauci, Gates, Kissinger, Trump, Cuomo, Diblasio, ad nauseum. In this. “Revelation of the Method” era, our masters are very overt about what they are doing to us. Still, the vast majority of sheeple can’t see it.

  9. Great thanks for this article and good comments. Ian, i’m on your side on this topic. 5G, some Icke (have never heard about him).
The main now is to survive and recover: for your parents and you! Take care.

    • Cheers Andy, we’re doing okay, feeling better and hopefully the worst is passed. I hope Russia is prepared for when the virus inevitably arises, I expect Putin is rather more realistic about this than Trump was, which should save many Russians. Stay safe!

    • Thanks, Ian!! Personal respect to you! At least you got a single Russian who will meet and hug you in Moscow airport arrival gates. 👍
I’m wlrking in Moscow at the moment and i’ll have to be covid-19 checked up and put 14 days long quarantine, when come home to Krasnodar. Russia has 63 dead by now. Hope, everything will be ok soon. Putin and the government are under the great and tough attack, now. By neo-liberals, 5th column and brainless people in despair. I see it everyday, alas.
You are a great Briton! Proud of you, really.!

    • Many thanks Andrew. Stay safe and fingers crossed Russia is well prepared.

  10. First of all, sorry to hear that you and your parents have been stricken by Covid-19 and I can only wish you all a speedy recovery. Relating to Icke, I’ve been somewhat following him for nearly 20 years now after having read a couple of his books in the early 2000s. Honestly speaking, although he has the merit of having opened up a lot of people’s minds in some form or another, there are just a few things about him which can cause more than just normal skepticism. One of which, you amply pointed out, the ticket fees for his speaking engagments. About 13-15 years ago, when I was living in Rome, I found out that he was making a scheduled tour with Rome as one of the venues. Interested to an extent, I tried to get some info on location and ticket prices and to my deep chagrin, I discovered that he was asking for over 70 Euros per ticket, back then!!!!! Like a rockstar????? Well, it didn’t resonate too well, to say the least, with what he claims he’s doing and I began to see him totally in another light since then. Frankly, when I hear him talk now, after about 10 minutes, my mind instinctively programs me to change the video! He repeats the same things over and over again which reaffirms my belief in the saying: Always listen to your inner voice! It never lies. On the other hand, there is another countryman of yours, a certain Simon Parkes (a bloody Trumpster fan!!). I don’t know if you are aware of who he is, but he claims from his sources, MI5/6, that 5G is not related to Corovid-19 in any way and instead. a biological weapon.

  11. That whole London Real was a pretty ingenious play, though, Ian.
Using a reasonably respectable anti-establishment platform to feature Icke’s latest barnstormer, and then pulling it dramatically while at the same time reporting the pull on all the MMM outlets. It then goes viral– the fact that Icke has been pulled from YouTube, that is– and absolutely everybody and their grandmother (at least, those lucky enough that their grandmother isn’t on a ventilator due to a very real and very serious biological attack on major world cities) circulates the Icke interview (during which Icke reemphasizes continuously– via quite sophisticated NLP techniques if anybody’d care to check that out: a great example of how effective it is to the uninitiated– that the disease is fake/not real/is 5G irradiation. In other words, it goes viral on the presumption/assumption that it’s Solid Gold Truth.
Genius, and a damning indictment of our educational systems– or lack thereof. If this doesn’t highlight the lack of solid critical thinking and reasoning skills in our schools and universities, NOTHING ever will. And now it’s probably too late.

    • Yes, yes YES! You get it! Everyone, please read Job’s comment, he has nailed it on the head. This is a great explanation of how disinfo entities work in conjunction with the mainstream media & online businesses.

  12. Like the guy or not – with his new 2.5 hour interview, he has put his money where his mouth is – and in a short time, we will see if his theories, are somewhat correct, or Bull Shit. Some of G. and C. Duff’s articles touch rather close to Icke’s theories on the NWO Mafia takeover , the test kits, the future slave populace, vaccines , SARS and the biological scam/threat, that we are – receiving. I’m waiting for a G. Duff or C. Duff article on 5 G. Thanks Ian.

    • No, I don’t need to watch that because Barrie Trower is full of it, a liar, as is everyone that demonises 5G.

  13. I wrote a lengthy comment twice. They seem to have evaporated. Wishing you and your family well this is an F’d up Virus we have here.
Non-ionizing radiation can be ionizing if the energy of that non-ionizing radiation through thermal-radiation brings the threshold temperature up to an ionizing level. I mentioned a bunch more shite on non-ionizing radiation and how even that must be handled appropriately. But we all learned that in elementary school. I also mentioned David Icke’s book Triggered and how I hope that does not put all the stated facts into the dustbin of 911/JFK/ME wars disinformation. Triggered is the ‘bible’ on 911, I take that back the Bible is the Brother’s Grimm of Jesus stories.

  14. I am sending good vibes to you and your family Ian. Speedy recovery and I can appreciate your anger toward Icke.
Noteworthy though: “non-ionizing radiation” is capable of causing thermal-ionization if it deposits enough heat to raise temperatures to ionization energies.
I remember farmers in Minnesota toppling high energy electric towers crossing their land. they said it stunted their crops and caused an increase in complications in livestock pregnancies. And you know the sun can cause cancer.
While you can cook with a microwave there are many nutritionist who claim you can destroy the nutritional value of your food with that device. If your cooking processed foods though – have at it.
Disinformation is the name of the game and the game is Russian Roulette.
I have been reading David Icke’s book The Trigger and would hate to see all that information go down that rabbit hole – again. Did not (wont be)reading DJT Jr’s book Triggered though.

  15. This should be obvious to everyone ten years prior when the Zionists crashed the world economy in 2008 because people got fed up with the establishments/Zionist lies, Middle Eastern Wars, and people ‘thought’ they were going to change things, take their country back, and elect Obama, only for everyone to realize that once Obama got in, they threatened him with the JFK threat and he wised up real quick. The people got furious and could do nothing. The Zionists then took away everyone’s money and food just like they are doing now during the coronavirus, to establish everyone’s obedience. What did the Zionists do in that time? They just rebranded under controlled opposition groups. They realized that the people no longer trusted their mainstream lies, so they had to get their agents to spread outlandish nonsense in order to get the minds of people who didn’t trust the government or media to instead believe in ‘approved’ dis-info agents who serve the Zionist purposes. Groups such as the Tea Party, The Obama Birther movement, Trumpets, Koch network, Qanon, Times Up, Sheldon Adelson Israeli Right-Wing Likudniks, LGBTQ movement, Black Lives Matter, Blue Lives Matter, etc. etc. for example. All movements that serve the SAME neocon nightmare of the US police state. One war against everyone AND ESPECIALLY THOSE ARABS AND MUSLIMS IN THE MIDDLE EAST. Just more blood sacrificing, blood-drinking vampire compliance until everyone is living in either Orwellss Hell or Huxley’s Hell.

    • 100% correct in my humble opinion, friend. Any day– or month?– now the ‘back to normal switch’ will be flicked; except this time, ‘normal’ will be *their* version of normal, including just that teensy, weensy bit more of fear and control. Or a whole lot more. Then the tour de drole will continue on and on and on– as it has for thousands of years.
Where we go one we go all, right Q-fans?

  16. Hi Ian. Im sorry to hear that you fallen ill again just as you were recovering. What a terrible blow. I do hope you and your parents make a full recovery soon. This coronavirus is such a menace. My best wishes for a speedy recovery go out to you and your parents and friends.
I too find the crazy notion that somehow 5g is linked to the coronavirus is just ludicrous and you are right Ian, it is to demonize China. China’s economy was set to overtake the US next year.
In Australia we have seen a concerted effort by our government to demonize Chinese companies that promote 5G technology to the point that last year they made a law and banned those companies. I think this is the case in the UK and the USA as well? Here in Australia we have a backwards government that legislated and part owns 1 single company to oversee the planning, construction and selling products of our NBN (national broadband network). Billions of dollars over budget estimates, inferior technology, slow speeds and still have black spots in some regions. It has been a complete and utter WOFTAM. I remember Bill Gates (bless his soul ) coming out to over 20 years ago saying Australia was so far behind in internet speed and infrastructure. He was really annoyed with the whole internet thing here. 20 years on and slight improvements made but no where near speeds of other countries, some with smaller economies than ours! And just the other day the NBN announced they were going to boost the internet bandwidth capacity by 40% because of the coronavirus. What!! They couldnt have done that before! What a joke and what a rip off this company is.

    • Cheers Cindy, we are applying typical British stoicism and carrying on. Trump has been pressuring the British govt not to allow Huawei into the British 5G market, citing security concerns.

    • i live in Argentina, and i work for a large telco… we have mixed vendor on the backbone ip (mostly Cisco, Juniper, Huawei) but in the mobile access network mostly Huawei. Chinese people work very very hard, the technical assistance is far better than Nokia in my opinion.

  17. VT publishes many more conspiracies then David. There are many things David was right about, but some maybe not. He is human too.
Examples of VT conspiracies: DVD of Shrimpton, Coronavirus is a Russian creation, Taliban are freedom fighters, article about some “black go”. Russia preparing to attack Baltic and Ukraine.
Aliens or black sun of Jack Heart.

Apart from 5G David were time and time again correct in many issues.

    • Yes, that’s how disinfo agents work – if they only spouted lies, they would soon be exposed. They use the poisoning the well method where they say a load of true things then throw in a lie.

    • Could it be that he is just plain wrong? After all, there is so much deliberate disinformation in the world, along with things to learn, that even the best of us can sometimes get it wrong. Plenty of people have warned or become scared that 5G causes CoV like symptoms, but they are mostly misinformed and NOT deliberately spreading lies.

Personally I also feel that 5G is a distraction and diversion from people discovering the truth about CoV. I still think Icke has a lot of important things to say – he can be trusted much more than most others.

    • Don’t be so naive, of course they are deliberately lying as anyone who knows the first thing about 5G and telecomms knows they are talking rubbish. If you trust Icke, as Gordon says – ‘too stupid to live’.

    • Cheers. The variant we have is attacking the stomach linings more than the lung linings.

    • My reply is also to Ian Greenhalagh, Managing Editor. I find your remark about the variant of flu with which you are suffering attacking your stomach, not your lungs, to be a condemnation of flu vaccine shots. I hope I do not see you ever touting a vaccine for any flu. A virus mutates constantly and any vaccine will only be good for one variant, which may or may not be the variant around in any given year. I hope you are better soon.

  18. Narfle the Garthok! Mr. Icke appeared on Kevin Barrett’s program just last month. I thought it was light and entertaining. Truth be told, VT editors have held out the possibility of other-dimensional beings parasitizing human pain and suffering through the manipulations of their “flesh and blood agents” for their own benefit. True or false, I’ve read about it on these very pages.

    • The conehead reference was indeed a hoot, thank you. The references to obscure intra-dimentional beings certainly does read it’s ugly head from time to time. Some report per some obscure rules we must allow their indescretions. I have no idea but if they can’t handle a decent overhand right, I’m ready.

  19. Yes, agree.
I am an engineer, RF. The 5G nonsense is of course complete BS. Also I remember his ‘thing’ about smart meters and mind control. I also personally know people that design ‘smart’ meters. NO theres no hidden mind control in them. They are completely dumb just measure your power consumption and feed it to the network simple as that. Of course that isnt enough for Icke. His worst one is the Saturn ring theory that the ancients all worshipped Saturn, NO they couldnt see the rings in ancient times no matter how good your eyes are. Of course it was aliens that did it. Funnily he gets an audience among truthers because he mixes in ‘truth’ like 911 and such but pushes the Satan wrship side. Anybody in the real world can see through him in a jiffy, especially if you have enough science background.

    • Well said. If Icke were the real deal, he wouldn’t get the publicity he does. Even this BBC article about his interview being pulled is publicity for Icke and his 5G nonsense because the conspiratorially minded will say ‘oh, they censored him, so he must be telling truths they don’t want known’. No, controlled opposition disinfo agents don’t function like that, they thrive on being criticised and censored.
