ATLANTA — Governors facing growing pressure to revive economies decimated by the coronavirus said on Sunday that a shortage of tests was among the most significant hurdles in the way of lifting restrictions in their states.

“We are fighting a biological war,” Gov. Ralph Northam of Virginia said on “State of the Union” on CNN. “We have been asked as governors to fight that war without the supplies we need.”

In interviews on Sunday morning talk shows, Mr. Northam was among the governors who said they needed the swabs and reagents required for the test, and urged federal officials to help them get those supplies.

The governors bristled at claims from the Trump administration that the supply of tests was adequate. On NBC’s “Meet the Press,” Vice President Mike Pence said “there is a sufficient capacity of testing across the country today for any state in America” to go to the first of three phases that the administration says are needed for the country to emerge from the coronavirus shutdown.  read more

  1. Why would (or should) anyone who doesn’t have symptoms voluntarily get tested? If you have symptoms, stay home, as you would with any other viral infection, if those symptoms worsen call your doctor about testing.
This whole thing has gotten out of control with media health experts, politicians, and celebrities telling you what to do with your body; the same goddamn hypocrites that will scream bloody murder if you dare tell a pregnant woman what to do with hers. Christ, the other day, Dr. Michael Ryan of the WHO, was heard saying next they will go into private residences and remove family members that are “infecting” other family members. I draw the line there. And those Americans who we are always told are only a paycheck away from total poverty…we are so far beyond that! There are forces; some here, who hate Trump, and want him removed so badly, they are blind to the plight of everyday, out Americans-of-work who are broke and don’t know where their next meal is coming from. For them, I say shove your testing up your ass!
