Russians Eagerly Await Vaccinaton Against COVID-19

[Editor’s note: Russia has never suffered from the Anti-Vaxx black propaganda that has swept the western world thanks to the fraudulent ‘research’ of disgraced doctors such as Andrew Wakefield and Judy Mikovits.

Furthermore, as a socialist system has prevailed in Russia for a century, mass free vaccinations have long been a feature of life in Russia.

Therefore there is none of the insane Anti-Vaxx bullshit in Russia and people are all too eager to get vaccinated against COVID-19. Ian]

The vaccination of the entire population against the novel coronavirus may take as long as six months, Director of Russia’s Gamaleya Scientific Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology Alexander Gintsburg told TASS on Friday.

“All the same, it is impossible to vaccinate the whole country in a go and that is why this process will take certain time: perhaps, half a year or maybe it will be possible to organize all this quicker,” he said.

The work at the Gamaleya Scientific Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology to develop the vaccine against COVID-19 is proceeding as planned and presumably it will be registered by the end of summer, Gintsburg said.

However, the preparation will initially be available in smaller amounts than is required for immunizing the larger part of the population, he said.

“That is why, the Health Ministry, and not only the Health Ministry but also the bank as a financial source required for this work, are now taking very big efforts to scale up our technology of producing this vaccine on other sites as well,” he explained.

In late December 2019, Chinese officials notified the World Health Organization (WHO) about the outbreak of a previously unknown pneumonia in the city of Wuhan, in central China. Since then, cases of the novel coronavirus – named COVID-19 by the WHO – have been reported in every corner of the globe, including Russia.

On March 11, 2020, the WHO declared the coronavirus outbreak a pandemic. According to the latest statistics, over 5,198,300 people have been infected worldwide and more than 334,600 deaths have been reported. In addition, so far, over 2,000,000 individuals have recovered from the illness across the globe.

To date, a total of 326,448 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Russia, with 99,825 patients having recovered from the disease. Russia’s latest data indicates 3,249 fatalities nationwide. Earlier, the Russian government set up an Internet hotline to keep the public updated on the coronavirus situation.

  1. A lot of people have a disclaimer clause in their comments “I am not against vaccines”, well I am! Because I can’t trust a country that allowed 911 to take place – working hand-in-glove with the enemy to take away people’s freedom to want to do anything but the continuation of its enslavement policy. Therefore it’s a natural instinct to distrust the push for the vaccine – by the same government. The Covid-19 is a manufactured virus anyway – this has been said by the greatest scientists in the know. It is stupid to think that a vaccine with unknown/unverified contents and inadequate testing should be allowed to be administered to millions.

  2. Ian,

    What’s you favorite vaccine?
My grandparents were never vaccinated and lived to mid eighties.
I am not against vaccines if they are properly studied and properly administered given that they are not “expired”. So what do you think which vaccine is properly studied and why is it close to impossible to sue and win against vaccine manufacturers? Or is it easy? I am sure you guys have the statistics on lawsuits. Why not put an article together with actual numbers from courts so people can see it?

  3. You are right, Ian. We lived in the USSR and we got vaccination from the very birth. And no one begged the citizens: will you get the vaccine, please? The State vaccinated ALL people. And that was okay!
Now we got some Russian not clever people (mostly young) who preach anti-vax. But they took it from the West and just retransmit it without brain to study material. Actually, since the collapse of the Soviet Union, 99% of different moral dirt – were and are taken from the Enlightened West.

    • Ain’t that the truth.
Unfortunately Russia has it’s share of idiots.
Best I can tell, Russia’s vaccines aren’t made to kill, unlike Western vaccines, they’re made to like, actually vaccinate.

    • Jim, we can’t say all those vaccines were 100% safe. Yes, there were some fatal consequences, i’m sure. But it was rare and private cases. As far as i remember in the USSR – all people were registered in their local policlinics and dispancers. All kids had vaccines, treatment, health test (annual) and medical examination. The attitude of the State towards its nation health was very very serious.
      I remember that.
What was it like in the West, what kind of vaccination was used and what were the results – idk.
As children, we played all day on the street, ate apples, peaches from the ground, stole carrots from the gardens, cucumbers, and everything that grew. Cucumbers were always tastier in someone else’s garden 😉 . Never washed them. Wipe an apple with your shirt and eat it. We drank water from lakes and rivers. No one was ill. And the immune system was strong. Then, of course, the ecology was better, in the 80s. And now the modern youth has a lot of diseases and allergies. They have become so tender.
So, to be or not to be – eternal question of classics. To vax or not to vax – it is up to people’s choice.
