  1. Maybe Trump is both? Most of the swamp creatures are probably a combination of hostage and perpetrator, like a street gang where it’s “blood in, blood out.”

  2. “needing to really fight the Deep State, something most of their supporters are also not willing/able to do” (Poppadoc) I agree on the first part but the second part of this thought is wrong. The last election was a throw all the bums out of both parties and Trump was the only one not supported by either party as their choice. Unfortunately we are left again with no true defender of the US citizens and the rest of the world’s hope for sanity and forming a more perfect union. I have looked into the Lincoln Project and if you think anything good will come out of their mouth and supported MSM is ludicrous, reminds me of Clinton’s Third Way support to skin the US middle and lower classes and solidify the deep state control.

First to those that advocate against the people and their sharing of the commons seem to think that not only our thinking but all aspects of our lives should be done for us by rule of private for profit corporations.
Corporatist who have the politicians by a strangle hold by either bankrolling their elections (not to mention their bank accounts) or just shear intimidation of their current stranglehold on the commons…and the list goes on.

There will be a multipolar world or a world war and it appears this is being forced from the unipolar empire of criminal cabal/s. This is not new, just sporting new clothes when actually the fake emperors have all been exposed (they have no clothes).

“A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear.” –Marcus Tullius Cicero 42B.C.

    • All reasonable statements, King. Yet please note my wording on “needing to really fight the Deep State.” Is voting in an “election [to] throw all the bums out” what it really means to fight the Deep State?

Or is the “fight” more literal, more physical, as JFK, RFK, etc. demonstrated? The Deep State threw them out, and it was not with an election… So, are most Trump/Obama supporters really willing/able to face that themselves…?

  3. Besides Trump’s rude and crude attitude making him appear more… genuine (?)… compared to other US politicians, his good points are basically the same as Obama’s.

Both had initial campaign promises which might have actually improved the US, both had substantial support and opposition in the mainstream media, both enacted small positive policies like Obama’s JCPOA or Trump’s removing the individual mandate penalty, and both enacted major negative policies which could be blamed on the Deep State holding them hostage.

I think that last one is the key good point (or excuse) since all the bad points can be handwaved by needing to really fight the Deep State, something most of their supporters are also not willing/able to do.

    • Trump isn’t hostage to the deep state, he is a creature of the deep state, 100% their creation and his presidency has been run by the deep state from day 1.

  4. The first one is well done. The second(using the three and a half year coma victim awakening, as a screenplay vehicle) is just plain silly. It won’t win converts, and will more likely garner ridicule.
