Health Editor’s Note: Yesterday, 10/22, starting at 10:00 a.m. and lasting until 5:00 ET you could have sat in on the live feed of the FDA’s Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee (VRBPAC.) or use this youtube site which seems to have a better audio. The meeting is still here.
The FDA seeks advice from, outside experts through meetings of the FDA advisory committees. These experts include physicians, researchers, and statisticians and those who can give perspective of the patient, consumer, or industry.
The meeting was held to set up a review and then evaluate data concerning effectiveness, safety, and appropriate use of vaccines and the biological products which are intended for the use in the prevention, treatment, or diagnosis of human diseases. The public can witness the process and know that a safe vaccine is being sought for use to stop this pandemic….Carol
