Health Editor’s Note: While I greatly disapprove of driving over this beetle, to test its unsquishablility, not once but twice with a Toyota Camry, the fact that it could withstand such punishment speaks for its invincibility.
By researching the beetle’s exoskeleton structure engineers may be able to apply the same techniques to synthetic materials that are used in construction and aircraft. For now it may just be enough to know how unsquishable this beetle is…..Carol

Carol graduated from Riverside White Cross School of Nursing in Columbus, Ohio and received her diploma as a registered nurse.
