Most disturbing to read more headlines these days with the US again accusing Assad of using chemical weapons against his own people. The last time this happened in 2013 the western narrative and playbook went as follows:
1. Assad must go. [Reason? To break Syria up as a country and to put a stop to the planned gas pipeline from Iran through Syria and into Europe and instead have a pipeline from Qatar through Syria and to Europe. This would also solve Israel’s still disputed occupation of the “Golan Heights,”which would then no longer be disputed. And this is a prelude to bombing Iran]2. Assad kills his own people with Sarin Gas.
3. Order a no fly zone through the UN security council
4. Bomb the country to smithereens a la Libya.
5. Completely destroy and obliterate all Orthodox Christian communities in Syria which are some of the oldest Christian groups in the world.
How do they justify this political criminality? Basically through Isaiah Chapter 17, which as Gov Sam Brownback has interpreted:
“The idea behind the prophecy is a fairly straightforward one. In Isaiah 17, the prophet explains that, in the run-up to Armageddon, “Damascus is about to be removed from being a city, and will become a fallen ruin.” The implication is that it will be leveled by God on behalf of Israel as part of the last great struggle for mankind.”
It would seem that Brownback needs to double check his sources. Because if you read The Dead Sea Scrolls version of Isaiah 17, what it basically says is that those nations who attack Syria are looking for trouble. In the last verses it says:
“Woe to the many nations that rage— they rage like the raging sea! Woe to the peoples who roar—
they roar like the roaring of great waters!
Although the peoples roar like the roar of surging waters, when he rebukes them they flee far away,
driven before the wind like chaff on the hills, like tumbleweed before a gale.
In the evening, sudden terror! Before the morning, they are gone! This is the portion of those who loot us, the lot of those who plunder us.”

But the plan failed. So plan B. They took another course of action. The next thing this group called ISIS/ISIL or whatever, they are basically part of al Qaeda/Wahabbi/Muslim Brotherhood sect, funded by Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Qatar, supported by the US, trained in Jordan and given medical and other assistance on the Golan Heights by Israel arose.
They drove across Iraq and Syria in their shiny new Toyota trucks, committing mass shootings, chopping off peoples heads, crucifying Christians and behaving generally like a marauding bunch of primitive Medieval henchmen, stealing and looting along with abducting young girls who they auction off as sex slaves. Barbaric by anybody’s standards. But please note. the countries involved in creating and supporting these groups have not been damned internationally, have not had sanctions put against them, in fact have not been called to book at all. If anything, ISIS/ISIL the Takfiri Islamists are getting even more support and weaponry from the above mentioned countries.
But the plan is not going too well. What is more Putin recently has pledged support for Syria in all areas. See HERE. So what is next? Back to plan A? It would seem so.
But please keep in mind the facts behind plan A. Something the Main Stream Media pushed aside the first time and instead paid more attention to Putin’s deal to take all Syria’s chemical weapons which it did. They hardly ever spoke about the real story.
First we were all shocked by footage of children who had been gassed to death, their bodies sprawled across empty rooms, lined up on the floor of some building or laid out in rows encased in plastic along a footpath under some trees. This footage was given prime time on CNN. At the same time Liveleak released a video of the so called “moderate Syrian army,” who is still trumped up into existence although there never was, or is such a thing, abducting villages of women and children. This video went viral on social media but was never seen on CNN, BBC or Fox News.A Nun, Sister Agnes Miriam showed the CNN footage of these children to the parents who had recently lost their children in this “free Syrian Army raid,” and they identified them, which must have been a very traumatic experience for all concerned. None of this was given any exposure in the western media, they were still plastering the front pages with negotiations between Putin and Obama about relieving Syria of their chemical weapons and that “Assad must go!”
More footage was released, which showed that the “free Syrian Army” had gassed these children themselves, and the whole episode was blamed on Assad, because… “Assad must go.” Basically what you call a “false flag,” creating the situation yourself and then blaming somebody else, the childishness of which always leaves me gob smacked. Not particularly mature, adult and responsible behaviour is it?
To date over 200,000 people have been killed in Syria, well those are the “official” numbers, millions have been displaced and their ancient heritage is being destroyed along with the infrastructure of the country. The lunatic fringe in the Middle East has been funded, trained and supported to destabilise a country and break it up so that Qatar can get it’s gas pipeline to the Mediterranean and Israel can take the Golan Heights uncontested.
People like me, and there are many of us who write these articles in Independent Media and rely mostly on donations, not corporate funding which dictates what you put into print, are called “mad,” and “conspiracy theorists.” Then we are handed a roll of tin foil. If anything I despair for the world when such criminality is allowed to run rampant while those who point it out are maligned and insulted.
The next time you see an article with a headline along the lines of “Assad must go,” or “Assad kills his own people,” or “Assad using chemical gas,” please cross check it with other more reliable sources and for those in the media, trying think for yourself for a change instead of just doing a copy and paste from Reuters.
