Nothing screams love like a rock T-shirt. You may or may not agree with that statement, but if classic rock is what your wife loves, then that’s what you should get her. Flowers and chocolates are outdated, but a rolling stones womens t shirts will probably never get old.
Classic rock bands date back to the latter half of the twentieth century. Rock and roll took off at that point. Bands and artists such as ACDC, Nirvana, and The Rolling Stones began their musical career then. It’s an era synonymous with rock music.
Led Zeppelin T-shirt
The four symbols on Led Zeppelin’s fourth album were curated after each one of the band members. The idea came to guitarist Jimmy Page after critics slammed the band’s third album, calling them a ‘hype.’
The Grateful Dead T-shirt
The Grateful Dead have made a name for themselves among rock music royalty with the songs they’ve produced. However, they’ve also been able to memorialize themselves with their iconic logos.
Two of their more popular ones include the Steal Your Face logo and the Dancing Bears. The story behind each logo represents rock music’s synonymous traits – rebellion. Steal Your Face has been theorized to represent the 13 stages it takes to make LSD, and the Dancing Bears (who are marching in the emblem) show anti-establishment sentiments.
Red Hot Chilli Peppers T-Shirt
When the Red Hot Chilli Peppers were scheduled to debut their first studio album, their recording company asked if they had a particular logo in mind. The band’s frontman, Anthony Kiedis, had already sketched one ahead of the album’s scheduled release.
The eight cornered asterisk is popular among rock fans who consider it a testament to the band’s early beginnings and their eventual rise to fame. There has been much speculation over the origin or story of the logo – but Anthony Kiedis has never provided one.
The Rolling Stones Lips T-shirt
The iconic rolling stones lips logo was released in 1970. However, a poll from 2018 determined that the iconic symbol is still the one most associated with rock music.
The logo was made by a final year art student, John Pasche. He was approached by Mick Jagger, who had seen his final year project and asked if he would be willing to create the band’s logo for their Europe Tour. The design was to draw inspiration from the Hindu goddess Kali’s ironic stance and have some sexual connotations.
John Pasche’s second design was finalized, and the rest is history.
If your wife is obsessed with all things rock and roll, getting her a T-shirt with a classic rock bands logo or their most famous album cover is something she’ll love. Go for classic rock bands because they’re the ones people still talk about.
