‘Kings Lake Karen’ in Racist Rant Against ‘Halfbreeds’

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. — The woman caught on camera yelling racist insults at a mother and kids was placed on administrative leave by the Collier County School District.

According to CCPS’ staff email directory, Patricia Janet Schmidt is employed as an Exceptional Student Education (ESE) Specialist at Lely Elementary School. 

The video shows Schmidt mocking the child behind the camera Saturday in the Kings Lake neighborhood. She said, “your son must be special ed. He’s a r—-d. Your son is a r—-d.”

The woman driving a Mercedes Benz was caught on video Sunday in the Kings Lake neighborhood of Naples calling a woman “white trash,” and referring to her children as “mulattos” and “half-breeds.”

“Neighbors said over the past several years, the woman has made it her mission to guard her property and a walking path, which has a sign indicating it’s for Kings Lake residents only,” according to the local NBC affiliate, which did not identify the woman but reported that she works as a teacher in the Collier County School District.

A mother told the station she was walking the path, which leads to a pond, with her children on Sunday when the woman stopped her Mercedes in the middle of the street, rolled down her window and began yelling at them.

“Did you pay for that path? You can’t afford to live in Kings Lake. You’re white trash!” the woman can be heard screaming in the video. “Are those your mulatto kids? Did you have sex with a Black guy? Your kids are half-breeds, look at them.”

Another mother in the community told the station that earlier this year, the woman yelled at her 8-year-old bi-racial foster son, who suffers from PTSD. “It made me incredibly angry for sure. I think she specifically targets kids,” the mother said.

Neighbors refer to the woman as “Kings Lake Karen.” Her property is adorned by flags with middle fingers and profanities, along with no trespassing and surveillance camera warnings.

  1. The woman should be fired, not just put on leave. And then perhaps she should also be charged with hate crimes, for the racist rants. She was a specialist for Exceptional Students! She IS the very white trash she condemns. So her house is beside the community walking path. So what? If she didn’t like living there, she could have sold her house and moved.

  3. Nevermind the child with PTSD, David Odell wants to know if the “traumatized” Trumper Karen is ok.

    I shouldn’t assume she’s Trumper though, just because she’s racist. 🙄

    Sidenote: (What’s that phenomenon called where homophobes tend to be closet gay so often?… Why’d she specifically need to mention “sex with Black guys”? 😏

    • The term “Karen” has solidified because they exist and the worst ones are the ones with bodyguards that will do their bidding.

  4. Try being White and walking through a Black neighborhood. The outcome is more likely to be worse than a verbal berating.

    • I was walking through a wealthy Vegas hood once…

      I think it was 1993. (🤔 I remember listening to the “Gala” album by Lush, so it was after ’92, but before the ’94 album “Split”.)

      So I was 18.
      I saw a girl shooting 🏀 in her driveway, so of course I approached…

      I chatted her up… till she said she was 13, right as her parents pulled up! 🚗

      I Remember “Central Park Karen”. SHE KNEW SHE WAS ON VIDEO, but still, dramatically falsely reported: “HE THREATENED MY LIFE 😫!”

    • Baseless fear. I’ve lived in plenty and found the opposite to be true.
      Hitchhiking across the US, it will become very quickly apparent, that poor white neighborhoods are the most dangerous, and wealthy ones will call the cops. In general, in middle class, I found no distinction whatsoever.
