Two years after the US’s assassination of top Iranian military figure, General Qassem Soleimani, the Islamic Republic continues efforts to bring the perpetrators of the assassination to justice.

Soleimani was the commander of IRGC’s Quds Force, which is in charge of conducting overseas operations.

He, together with Commander of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Units Abu-Mahdi al-Mohandis, was killed in 2019 in a US air raid outside Baghdad Intl. Airport on a direct order from US president Donald Trump.

General Soleimani holds a reputation for eliminating Daesh terrorists in Iraq in 2017.

He also led major operations in Syria that led to the recapturing of key areas from Daesh.

This is why the US’s assassination of Soleimani led to a safe interpretation that Washington must be on the terrorists’ side.

Tehran calls the assassination a clear example of state terrorism by the US.

So far, 48 people have been identified in connection with Soleimani’s assassination, former US president Donald Trump tops the list.

Last week, Iranian judiciary officials visited Iraq where the incident took place, and sat with Iraqi judicial authorities to gather more information about the attack.

Iran’s judiciary says aside from penalizing the culprits, it is taking steps to have those involved in the matter compensate the damages inflicted to the families of the victims.

This man is known as the nemesis of the terrorists in the region, so his assassination was seen as a big win for the terrorists and a huge loss for the entire region. That’s why the Islamic Republic says it will never back down from its legal pursuit to bring the perpetrators to justice, saying this is to make sure that such incidents will not happen again against Iranian military figures.

  1. One of these fine days, a blond-haired, blue-eyed Aryan gentleman may wander by Trump as he sits in his Golf-kart bulshitting about his golf prowess on his phone and there drill a perfect hole-in-one through the centre of Trump’s head – and afterwards and forever disappear from sight back into the ranks of the IRGC.

  2. Trump killed General Soleimani for the same reason he moved the US Embassy to Jerusalem, for the same reason he pulled the USA out of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) with Iran, to appease his Christian Zionist base and Sheldon Adelson. Anyone who doesn’t know that is not paying attention.

  3. It is perhaps grounds for removing secret service protections, due to violation of international law. Assassination under the guise of the expanded powers of the executive branch granted by the patriot act, were used in a very unpatriotic and undignified manner.
This, and many other countless actions by our executive branch, are a constant reminder why we cannot grant war powers to the executive branch. They will hide while unilaterally declaring war on people or countries. Not what we signed up for.
