From Russia’s State-Controlled Media…

Thus far the Western press has been nearly 100% biased…shamefully so…but don’t give Russian media a pass either.

Ukrainian troops ‘abandoning positions,’ Russia claims

Kiev’s defense minister, however, has vowed that the country will push out Russian forces
Ukrainian troops 'abandoning positions,' Russia claims

Ukrainian soldiers are abandoning their positions in the face of a Russian offensive, Moscow has asserted, while also claiming that its armed forces are not striking cities and pose “no threat” to civilians.

In a statement issued on Thursday morning, defense officials said that “intelligence shows that units of the Ukrainian army and servicemen are leaving their posts en masse, laying down their weapons.” No direct evidence has been presented to substantiate the statement.

According to the release, “Ukrainian Armed Forces positions that have laid down their weapons are not being attacked. The Russian armed forces are not striking Ukrainian cities. There is no threat to the civilian population.” Moscow says a number of military targets, including airfields, defense installations and airplanes have been hit by “high-precision weapons” as part of a “special operation” ordered by President Vladimir Putin.

However, the Mayor of Mariupol, Vadim Bouchenko, held a press conference later the same day alleging that three people have been killed and a further six injured in the city, including one child. “Don’t panic. We are ready to fight for Mariupol and Ukraine,” he said.

Alexey Reznikov, Ukraine’s Minister of Defense, has called on his country’s citizens telling them to take up arms in the face of the Russian offensive. “The enemy attacks, but our army is unbreakable,” he wrote on Facebook. “Anyone who is ready and able to hold weapons may now join the Territorial Defense Forces in your local region.”

Kiev’s foreign minister, Dmytro Kuleba, has issued a statement in which he declared that Moscow “has just launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine.” According to him, “this is a war of aggression. Ukraine will defend itself and will win,” he insisted. “The world can and must stop Putin. The time to act is now.”

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has declared martial law in the country, urging citizens to stay calm and stay at home.

Foreign leaders have condemned Moscow’s actions, with US President Joe Biden saying that Russia had declared a “premeditated war” that would lead to “catastrophic loss of life and human suffering.”

  1. In war, nobody is going to tell the truth in the media or to the media, that would come from war correspondents and personal witnesses on the ground and that will be doctored too by the tme it gets to media.
Looks like it is real that is for sure, No talk of false flags now – its Russian army and airforce wiping out all Ukrainian airfields and military stuff that has been pre-targeted.
    Too late now its happened.

  2. While there is peace enforcement and denazification of Ukraine, a huge number of fakes have already appeared. I’ve just been in a Ukrainian Facebook group. So there they allegedly burned hundreds of Russian tanks, captured thousands of soldiers, etc. There is also sometimes contradictory or unconfirmed information in the Russian news.

  3. Not quite like the Shock and Awe perpetrated on civilians in Iraq? Biden has dreams of standing in front of the White House in his aviator glasses and a Navy airman jacket piping “Mission Accomplished!” Like Bush, he has delusions of grandeur. We will see where this goes. Another downside of the Imperial Presidency is the failure of Congress to checkmate this nonsense.

  4. “…Zelensky has declared martial law in the country, urging citizens to stay calm and stay at home….” After that, he asked to canadian PM Trudeau if he didn’t have a small place where hiding from russians in the same unknown location which Trudeau also hides himself but of the canadians.
