PressTV: Russia has summoned the Israeli ambassador to the country’s capital for clarifications over the occupying regime’s position regarding the Russian military operations in Ukraine.

Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov called in Alexander Ben Zvi on Friday after Israeli foreign minister Yair Lapid lambasted Moscow’s military actions in the former Soviet state and said the military operation was “a grave violation of the international order.”

In a statement, the Russian Foreign Ministry said Bogdanov and Ben Zvi discussed the situation in Ukraine and the Russian diplomat had “expressed hope” that Israel would show understanding toward Moscow’s motives for the military campaign rather than backing “Nazis.”

Bogdanov stressed the “importance of preserving the historical truth about the Second World War,” and described the military action as an operation to defend Ukrainian separatists in the country’s east and to “demilitarize” Ukraine.

In a televised speech early on Thursday, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a “special military operation” aimed at “demilitarization” of the Donetsk and Lugansk Republics in eastern Ukraine, collectively known as Donbass.

We had no other choice, says Putin after launching Ukraine operation

Russia’s president says he had no other choice than to launch a military operation in Ukraine.

The regions broke away from Ukraine in 2014 after refusing to recognize a Western-backed Ukrainian government that had overthrown a democratically-elected Russia-friendly administration.

Announcing the operation, Putin said the mission was aimed at “denazification” of Ukraine and “defending people who for eight years are suffering persecution and genocide by the Kiev regime.”

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that 137 Ukrainians, both military personnel and civilians, had been killed since the beginning of the attack, and 316 more had been wounded.

Kiev claims to have killed 50 Russian troops and shot down six Russian aircraft, an allegation that has not been independently verified.

The UN refugee agency said around 100,000 people had been internally displaced while several thousand more had left Ukraine since the fighting erupted.

  1. Putin’s reasoning as per Israel, is due to the majority of immigrants being Russian speaking people. Therefore he walks on eggs with Israel. The same with Ukraine. No mass death operations, no destruction of infrastructure, etc. I get it, family ties. I do not agree with it, but understand it. If a person leaves the US for France and France gets nuked, am I going to be pissed that ex-pats were killed? No. If it involves a family member, I will be sad, but not to the point of declaring war. This is Putin’s weak link per Israel. Israel also tweaks the Russians’ nose every chance they get and they have no compunctions over killing Russians, look at their collusion with Ukr and the direct support of ISIS…which endangers Russians daily. Supposedly, Russia kicked out Red Shields banking, which allowed economic changes benefiting Russia. Are the Atlanticists/Zionists really this powerful, that he cannot expose and take them on? IF Putin really wants to make a dent in Russia’s problems, all he has to do is stop interfering in Syria’s need to protect itself and allow them to respond in kind. Put the pinch on the Khazars and he will see results. The west will do whatever they are ordered to do to protect Israel…however, should their existence be really threatened, they will capitulate, as they are in reality cowards. Would the US attack Russia if they stopped protecting Israel? I doubt it. Shekels will only get you so much co-operation. It won’t buy you suicide.

    • Do Russians by and large know who these people are, what they have done to Russia in the past and will do today if they can? How can they not? Do they know that they are the catalyst for the majority, if not all, the international crime? Why do they not recognize the power of these creatures, as they have spawned the same set of ‘anti-semitic’ laws in Russia as in the rest of the world? Why are they not outed as the Khazars they are and the semites they are not? Where is the long Russian memory of the deaths and destruction they have wrought in Russia? How many in Russia know of the Khazars influence in the causes of WWII, The Great War, for which Russians venerate their dead’s sacrifices? Does the Russian public not know that those that perpetrated the fiasco of the ’90s are the very same that perpetrated the mass killings of Stalin? This appears to be a cognitive disconnect of reality, something the US is rightfully continually accused of. As the old saying goes, the truth will set you free. Ridding the world of the Khazars would benefit the entire world, not just Russia. Who do the Russian public think is running Ukraine and who is behind the Nazis there? All they have to do is look at where the oligarchs in Ukraine fled to.
