  2. For most of his political career, Vladimir Zhirinovsky described events that would supposedly take place in the future. The words of a bright and extremely emotional politician were often not taken very seriously, especially since much of what was said was really not always plausible. But if you try to put together the key points, then coincidences with reality can be shocking. Back in 1991, Zhirinovsky categorically answered the question about the return of Crimea to Russia. According to him, Crimea and Sevastopol will be Russian. Yes, it took years. But nevertheless…
    The following “prediction” also concerns the former territories of Ukraine. In 2007, Vladimir Volfovich, in his characteristic manner, categorically stated that residents of Russian-speaking territories who want to live under the Russian flag will receive Moscow’s support. And so, at the beginning of this year, the Donetsk and Lugansk republics receive recognition of independence from Russia and become independent states. Yes, not under Russian flags, but that’s for now…
    A year later, the LDPR leader promised that a black citizen would become the president of the Americans. However, he added some more colorful characteristics of the future American president, which we will not mention in this article. And in 2009, Barack Obama took over the White House. Of course, this is a coincidence, but not the first, and not the last.
    Flair or competent analytics pushed Vladimir Volfovich to say that there would be a revolution in Ukraine. I didn’t have to wait long. In 2014, we saw terrible events in Kiev: murders, riots, separation of power, in a word, a revolution, which, unfortunately, turned into aggression against the Russian-speaking population living in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
    Nemtsov’s death, the downed plane over Ukraine – all this was pronounced by Vladimir Zhirinovsky in some incomprehensible way a little earlier than it happened. Even the Russian special military operation in Ukraine and the almost exact time of its beginning, also seemed to be known to him in advance. Yes, Zhirinovsky voiced the whole need to protect the Russian-speaking population from nationalist attacks much earlier. His speeches and thoughts often seemed aggressive and impulsive, but now it is striking how amazingly accurate his political forecasts sounded, which turned into predictions.
