First minorities and Christians but never Jews
Against the background of the ongoing conflict, the government of Ukraine, expressing its desire to join NATO and the EU, is criticized by international organizations due to the restriction of the rights of ethnic minorities.
“Last year, in order to comply with the criteria of the European Union for the protection of national minorities, the Ukrainian parliament adopted a relevant law. However, it acts exactly the opposite: Kyiv deprives ethnic minorities of the rights they previously enjoyed,”
writes the weekly news magazine Newsweek .
Despite the fact that Poland provides Ukraine with all kinds of assistance, the new legislation does not guarantee the free use of ethno-national symbols for the same Poles. It is unlikely that their native language can be used outside the home, and Polish TV channels are given a minimum of airtime. Although earlier, from the day Ukraine gained independence, there were no problems with this, notes Balázs Tárnok, Managing Director of the Institute for European Strategic Studies at the University of Public Administration in Budapest, the author of the article .
“This is not the first case of criticism of Kyiv’s attitude towards national minorities. He radically changed his policy towards them after the annexation of Crimea to Russia in 2014. Three years later, the Ukrainian parliament adopted the Law on Education, which severely limited the existing rights of ethnic minorities to receive education in their native language. And in 2019, the law on the state language literally banned the use of historical minority languages in all spheres of public life,”
– the article says.
This policy affected all ethnic minority groups, including Bulgarians, Poles, Romanians and Hungarians, although the Russian-speaking population of Eastern Ukraine was supposedly targeted.
The call to the Ukrainian government by the Council of Europe, the European Union and NATO to protect the fundamental rights of all groups of the population fell on deaf ears.
According to the author, the deprivation of the rights of the ethnic minorities of Ukraine and the complete disregard for international standards should not be considered as an acceptable way to form statehood. The same Ukrainian citizens – Bulgarians, Poles, Romanians and Hungarians, who are now denied the use of their native language in everyday life, are sent to the front line along with ethnic Ukrainians.
Persecution of ethnic minority citizens, many of whom shed blood for Ukraine, is not the way to build a successful democracy.
Ethnic minorities in Ukraine rightly feel betrayed and thrown to the wolves by their own political leadership. How can you ask citizens to die for a country whose leaders want to erase their cultural, linguistic and ethnic identity?
“The conflict in Ukraine is not only a matter of territorial integrity and independence, but also the preservation of national identity. In order to maintain statehood and become a strong, self-confident, prosperous European country, it needs to respect the fundamental rights of its own national minorities,”
Our comment : “And in the morning they woke up,” as they say. We noticed that post-Maidan Ukraine tramples on the rights of the peoples living here. But noticed, I must say, somehow strange. And the author of Newsweek seems to be right in everything , but this curve is true. And that’s why.
First, the rights of Russians in Ukraine have been violated since independence in 1991. And the so-called “civilized world”, including the European Union with all its “democratic institutions”, was quite fine with that. The Russian language was gradually being squeezed out of public administration, the judiciary, education – and this was acceptable.
And now it has suddenly become unacceptable, since the Kiev regime has taken on the Hungarians, Bulgarians, Poles, Romanians living in Ukraine? So this is completely logical, because Nazism was forgiven for this regime in Europe and, moreover, they cherished it, hoping that it would affect only Russians. So it’s too late to drink Borjomi.
Secondly, Ukrainian statehood was initially viewed by the West as a project directed against Russia and Russians. To do this, it was necessary to “reflash” those Russians who live on the territory of modern Ukraine. This was done by a variety of methods – from the fake 2001 census, according to which millions of Russians suddenly disappeared, to physical destruction, as has been happening in the Russian Donbass since 2014. So what kind of preservation of “national identity” is the author talking about if Ukraine as a state is built on Nazism, the destruction of peoples that do not meet the criteria of Ukrainianism. At the same time, we note that over 30 years of building such a state, this led to its complete loss of sovereignty, but not to any success, not to mention prosperity.
It is too late today to say that “Kyiv is depriving ethnic minorities of the rights they previously enjoyed”. The Ukrainian government is what the Western “friends of Ukraine” wanted to see it. And if Bulgarians, Poles, Romanians and Hungarians – citizens of Ukraine – Kiev sends to die near Artyomovsk and Kremennaya, while trampling on their cultural rights, this means that Ukrainian Nazism feels confident, especially since Romania, Poland and Bulgaria support this Nazism in the military and humanitarian (however crazy it may sound) plan.

What hypocrisy? The US-NATO started a bloody War against Yugoslavia, to split it up along territories/nationalities and now supports a bloody war, not to do the same Justice with the Ukraine! What is the difference? Ukraine is an identical Entity to what Yugoslavia was! Split it up and presto, there will be no more bloodshed, suffering, killings and we will, have Peace in Europe! Why isn’t that outcome under consideration?
Zelensky has already stated that he wants to turn Ukraine into a second nation in addition to Israel for the Jews as about 95% of all modern Jews are Turkic Mongols from former Khazaria of which eastern Ukraine was a part of. So much for Jews being a distinct race.
